Thanks To Fracking, Earthquake Hazards In Parts Of Oklahoma Now Comparable To California

There's also reports of contaminated water supplies.

That Forbes link is quite interesting. It also describes quite a few benefits of fracking e.g. reduced carbon emissions, and points out that it's not the actual fracking that induces earthquakes, it's more to do with the method of disposal of wastewater that does it. It would be interesting to know whether Cuadrilla use that same method to dispose of waste water.

The politicians don't give a fuck, why people think that they do is a total mystery to me.

They don't work for the public, they work for the corporations. And why should they care about us, most of us have a whinge and moan but that's all. We need the man on the street to stand up against these cunts and show them where the true power lies.

I sometimes think I'm the only person who can see this... it never fails to amaze me the number of people who are gullible enough to believe that politicians are there to serve society and not realise that they're only looking after the interests of the banks and the corporations, there's barely anyone in Westminster who doesn't have a connection to corporate banking or big business, both before and after their time as MP's.

l have a always wondered why, with some.of the most strongest tidal flows in the world why we don't try more to exploit this with hydroelectric. I know I read to biluIld several plants round the country it would cost billions but could also offer us 20-30% of our electricity needs, shirley this would be better than an unproven to be safe system like fracking

From the moment I heard of fracking I intuitively gave it a wide berth, nothing's changed but do the general public actually want this?

Without any problems?! Come on!

maybe then all the greenies on here should make a stance and hand there car keys back to the dealers in protest and buy a horse and cart,or we could go 100% nuclear but i doubt they would like that, the newts don't like being disturbed to and we can't have that

Unfortunately we live in a country of 70 million and rapidly rising that manufactures next to chuff all I'm afraid if we don't exploit our natural resources we're heading toward's the third world. And it doe's appear there's a large natural resource under Lancashire and I'm sure the London Government will make sure all us in the North will be better off.
