Do you still live in Tenerife mate? Ever watch City at the Blue Terrace in LC?

No, moved back in 2005 after 10 years out there mate. I still get over there 7-8 times a year and have a few pals still there. Plenty of blues as well, been in the Blue Terrace a couple of times. You might know a lad called Simon Smith, does the timeshare in LC and drinks in there on match days. A couple of the bookies out there are blues as well - we're pretty well represented on Fernando's. :-)

Mentioning the Blue Terrace reminded me of an encounter with Eric Bristow. A load of Tenerife blues had been watching the 4-3 derby (Owen last minute) in the B.T. To forget about the game, we all got absoloutely rat arsed. Across the road (Summer Nights I think), Bristow & John Lowe were doing an exhibition. We knew all the lads playing them, so was stood around the oche. I was taking pics of my mate holding his son & the Darts trophies up, when Bristow shouted, "can we get these wankers off the oche"?

I grabbed the mic, called him potty mouth and told him to watch his language as there was kids about. Quite a few people cheered me on.

They're over every year mate, along with The Soccer Saturday lot who do a golf day and a Q&A. Kamara is a top boy and played 5 a side with us for a few years, Stelling is a bit of an obnoxious twat as is Thompson and the big daft Scottish lad who i cant remember the name?Merson and Charlie Nicholas are quite funny as it goes - though the temptation to call Merson a **** is never far away...

I have sang with The Pogues.

That's my favourite one right there. Huge fan of The Pogues :o) When, How, what song the usual guff, tell us the story pal

My mate knew James Fearnley the accordion player and he got us on the guest list at Leeds. Afterwards we invited back to there hotel. Phil Chevron got his guitar out and we sat at the bar drinking JD with him James, Spider, Terry and the Clobberer we all sang Pogues songs together all night. The night ended about 6am when Phil went backwards off his stool and smashed in guitar in half. Shane was there but he was quietly with his girlfriend. Just an amazing night.

I played against Kamara over there a couple of years ago for Taylors. He said to me "Keep 'em shut", a split second before he nutmegged me. Still a fit lad and as you say a top bloke.

Played in the soccer 7's tournament a few years ago and ended up getting leathered at the lighthouse bar "El Faro" with Nicky Summerbee, Marcus Gayle & Nayim amongst others.

Brill story. You may enjoy the fantastic book by James Fearnley called Here Comes Everybody, it was my favourite biography of the last couple of years. Cheers for sharing

Sat having a coffee in a Cafe attached to a hotel in Vancouver, and Bob Hope sat down next to me to drink his coffee.

Shagged a playboy Bunny as well in the 1980's, she was my mates sister but she was a Playboy Bunny so it counts!

Ricky and Kamara both have places on the same complex. Kamara spends all his time over there when the season is over and he's not working. I watched a couple of games over there with Ricky end of December early January.

My games teacher at school was "Busby Babe" and Munich survivor Dennis Viollet

I sat right next to Led Zeppelin's John Bonham in a Kidderminster pub in 1978

My brother went to school with Mick Hucknall.......(I know, I know)...
