haha gotta love Aus

The most common ones round in my house or in the yard that scare me are these ones. The top 3 are very venomous....the funnel web is the most (or one of the most) deadly in the world.

You poms should count yourselves lucky ;)
Third one down looks likely to give you some superpowers.

Superpowers! it will give you a super quick visit to the nearest hospital
The Red Back was the spider we had in our house the most, you checked your shoes before you put them on, you checked your bed before you got in it in fact you checked everything, very nasty bite

Waat kind of spider is that? Looks exactly like the one that we encountered on an elephant trek in Thailand once. Two girls on an elephant in front riding down a jungle path, and we could see this big yellow and black spider sat in it's web about the same height as their heads... they obviously did not. Cue screaming and an almost fatal fall from an elephant's back.

Giant golden orb or "Cairns" Spiders, they eat birds too:

Leg span of these spiders can be 15cm. That is a whopping big spider!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

My skin's crawling reading this thread.

Fucking hate spiders, although prefer larger ones as at least you can see them, it's the little fast bastards you want to watch out for, they can get in any little nook or cranny and can avoid even the fastest swinging shoe.

If I ever came into contact with anything like that....I would move to Antarctica or somewhere else with no spiders. Lucky that shit is only found in QLD...i hope so anyway.
