Watched some of it on saturday........not worth watching any more as the girl with Downs Syndrome will win.

Thats how these types of shows seem to work these days

But looked at the line up this year.

Some drag queen.
An influencer.

Is anyone still watching this? Surely it should have gone the same way as X Factor, Generation Game, Noel's House Party and that Ant and Dec thing, and been consigned to YouTube.

There's a guy dancing now, used to be Billy Elliot. Another girl dances in the West End. This must put them at a massive advantage against Tom from The Apprentice et al.

Le Voix or whatever he/she are called, I can't stand the over the top campness, the reluctance to shut up, and the unfunny jokes that you can see coming a mile off.

It's Halloween week this week, and this of course gives the make up team licence to go absolutely bananas with their craft.

Blackpool week is coming soon. Apparently they have a dance floor on springs there, and all the celebrities love going there. Hope they read the Bluemoon thread on Blackpool to get some tourist tips before they travel.

Maybe I'm just getting a little to old to enjoy this sort of light entertainment. Traitors is ok though.

I still watch it. Blackpool is always a great episode of Strictly.
Yes, I also watch Celebrity Traitors.

I give it 2 more years.

Just my thoughts, but the problem this show has is the initial target demographic are all now 45+, and to combat the need for a younger audience the BBC have grabbed TikTokers and Youtubers. The problem here is the initial demographic don't have a clue who these people are causing them to fall out of love a bit with the show and the younger generation on whole are just not that interested in this type of show.

The younger generation on whole want Love Island type shows.

Add in the yearly controversy the show generates, the lead presenters jumping ship..etc..
 
And the sooooo cringy links. (Craig just now trying to be Peaky Blinders character).

I watch the results show usually. It gives me a good enough understanding of the Saturday show.

The BBC are in a conundrum because the younger generation i.e. the millennial generation and below don't really watch the traditional BBC1, ITV stations anymore. Most, me included, watch our TV entertainment via the streaming services.

It's why I believe Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Eastenders have 15-20 years left before the trigger is pulled.

You only have to look at the viewing figures of those shows 10 years ago compared to now to see the decline in viewership.

If it carries on then in the next 10-15 years, the BBC cannot justify demanding by law people spending money on the TV license anymore.

Once that goes for them they are in the same boat with everyone else competing.

That's why they (The BBC) have to cater in someway to the younger generations.

Judges getting all angry and telling us it's a dance competition
Well it isn't. It's Saturday night entertainment and that's what John Sergeant gave us
If it were a true competition, then there wouldn't be people invited onto the show such as Ann Widdecombe

No the “man” dancing with the man will win, not watched it since Bruce but I read about it. I believe the presenters are leaving, presumably it will be Rylan and Alison Hammond taking over, they are on everything else
 
Not bothering with it now Dianne has left. Pointless, and yes I am that shallow I watched it just to gorp at her.
