Ok off topic a bit but Macdonald's used to have these little non dairy cream things for coffee. One day i bought a coffee in there and i searched for the cream pots but could only find semi skimmed milk ones. These just kill the coffee completely, well for me anyway.I asked the girl behind the counter for the cream pot.Her reply was a classic.

''Oh we stopped doing them, semi skimmed milk is much better for you!''

So...you sell burgers full of fat and God knows what else and chips, but i can't have a bit of cream with my coffee. Amazing, lol!

you asked her for her cream pot? I might use that line

Don't it failed for me,lol!!

I find it despicable the that you come on here and say things like "simpletons" to us Blues. You wouldn't say that to our faces would you cos you know that you would get short shrift and rightly so.

"Simpletons" was a reference to one or two posters, earlier in this thread, who just talked utter nonsense. It was not a reference to the forum as a whole, by any means. If I thought that, I wouldn't bother coming on here in the first place.

I wasn't referring to you, either, even though you are wrong in your assessment. I have said time and time again that I don't mind the criticism - what I can't stand are people lying to back up their argument, or people talking utter shit, and being abusive about it. If someone comes hard at me, I will go hard back, though I prefer a civilised, rational debate.
And if the posters to whom I referred want me to say it to their faces, they can find me in the press box, seat D7, at every home game.

@stuart brennan...
Do you ever pull journalists from the red tops who write absolute garbage about city, the latest being the star saying aguero is off to real madrid??
All summer and nearly ever other week we had these red tops saying another player to be signing for utd tomorrow, next week..etc....and as we know only afro and elbows turned up after the stellar signings didn't,doesn't it embarrass you that this so called lazy journalism is allowed?
P.s i got no concerns with the m.e.n sports reports..:)

That's a bit like asking Burger King if they ever pull Macdonald's staff and tell them their burgers are shit!

stu in threat horror :)

try that for a headline.

oh and stu when taking about our stadium you best not term it "home". we know it isn't.

carry on. this is fun.

Perhaps Stuart Brennan could post the thought process behind using the Boateng photo as opposed to Uwe or Bert?

I have no idea why that picture was chosen - and this is the first I have seen of it. I am not trying to defend it, but I do refute the suggestion that it is evidence of some kind of anti-City agenda.
I haven't got time to do it, but I suspect if you trawl through the Utd section, you could find "evidence" of an anti-United agenda, if you were so minded

I'm curious, are there threads on United Forums alledging a pro-City bias in the MEN? I'd be interested to read them if you know of any.

I am aware of united fans who also refer to an anti - united bias in the MEN.

And so you have a local newspaper tasked with reporting local news that has the luxury of having two football teams that in the last few years have both been very successful and yet both sets of supporters claim that the paper in question has been negative in its reporting of their team.

That tells me all I need to now about the standard of the MEN's reporting. Surely it can't be that difficult to find something positive to say about these two clubs and keep everyone happy. And that's the crux of the problem at the MEN. For some unknown reason (maybe Peter Spencer knows) they prefer to shit stir and be antagonistic rather than be pro-active and positive. And they wonder why their readership is dwindling.

If they carry on like this I can see the MEN folding in the not to distant future. In a city the size of Manchester there is a real opportunity here for someone with a bit more journalistic integrity to come up with a really positive alternative to the outdated MEN.

can't comment cos I've never read it, just going off what me dad said.

I may be wrong but i would guess there is no way your average blue could access the press box?

If you think that we don't carry positive articles about United and City, you must never look at the paper or the website, or you are just so one-eyed that you can only see the negatives (which are very much a minority)
Did you say in an earlier post that you are a journalist?
