Stuart Hall - Guilty!

I was a huge Jimmy Savile fan as a Kid and also enjoyed listening to Stuart Hall on the Radio. Later on, my Boy Scout Leader was exposed as a child porn magnate and, since then, a gig promoter I was friends with has been sent down to sex offences against teenage girls. I genuinely don't know where this is going to end.

Did anyone else go to that Junior Blues event in 1977 Hall hosted, it featured players trying to kick balls through hoops hanging from the crossbar at the North Stand end, think Colin Bell was involved, just before returning from long term injury.

Clips from it used to get shown on TV quite a lot, might've had something to do with Nationwide.

In the early eighties, he had a string of Travel agents called 'Stuart Hall Travel,'
some folk may remember them. I was a sales rep for an airline then and used to call on them. I remember taking a girl from London who'd just joined us for training, we called at one of his agencies when he was in and I was struck by how much of a short arse he was. Anyway he was leering at my colleague constantly and making her very uncomfortable, I wasn't having that, so we made our brief presentation and left.
Later, after I'd shagged her in her hotel, she said she thought he was 'A right creep.'

I feel very sad that Hall has turned out to be guilty of these offences. It's very hard to associate him with such crimes, and very confusing. A friend thinks this is the present prosecuting the past, but for what reason, he can't say. But there is a strange sense of revenge being visited upon perpetrators of acts that were somehow accepted (although clearly wrong) by a more puritannical (or self-righteous) ethic.
I wonder if in 30 years we won't be seeing Johnathan Ross or Keith Lemon arrested for saying 'fuck' on telly.

Some of the people who have been mentioned as part of this investigation I believe have been stitched up, sadly in this case Hall appears not to have been one of them as he has admitted his guilt.

Some of the others who are now crawling out of the woodwork 30+ years later knew exactly what they were doing though.
