Well I'm off to college then to the protests. One hoodie, one adidas jacket with hood and one waterproof jacket... and a scarf and mask. Nice and warm. :-)

Nice and brave of you wearing a mask. If its all a peaceful protest why the need for masks? I'm glad im working today.

Lets hope the lay abouts are served steaming bowls of rich creamy police brutality and get a much deserved shoeing from the boys in blue if they step out of line. They have a right to protest, but if (as they have recently) start damaging property and break the law then they are open to reasonable force.

An education past 16 is a choice and as such should be paid for. When they enter a glittering career in one of our large call centres they can pay for their education then.

Good to see that your return to the realms of sanity on the 'Lying Police' thread was but a temporary stay.
So the police being violent, brainless thugs depends on setting - I guess if you or the uncle that newloony was bleating on about got an arbitrary beating off the Greater Manchester Cuntstabulary, that would be a different story?

very poor show today from the students. alot of that can be attributed to the weather, the timing, the day. However, it will not be the last.

Many students have occupied the Roscoe Building now and are still there as we speak.

Not too much on the violence front only a handful of arrests and a bit argy bargy with the police with officers brandishing a baton but apart from that relatively peaceful.

If the protests are about the price of the fees going up, would it not be stupid if the Gov backed down and kept the price low?

Wouldn't this mean anytime we want something we'll protest for it?

Anyway, I'm a student and I couldn't care less. Most people who are protesting are basically looking for trouble then complain after they've been battered.

If you play with feathers you get your arse tickled my friend.

What a bunch of cunts. If I had the power to organise a mob of 2000, I'd be leading the protest to the nearest electronics store.

London Met Kettled students outside a supermarket. The ever resourceful students bought up the shops supply of eggs and pelted the coppers.
