What about all the millions and millions of cases where the RIGHT person has been put away and they have made the streets a safer place?

As we patently have radically different opinions on this,and I feel a pointless circular argument coming on,I think it best to agree to disagree,as I personally feel that the police could make our streets safer by staying off them.

I have absolutely no problem with the concept at all, so no need to apologise. Thanks anyway. Just out of interest though, if the police didn't exist who would you call if some scally drove off in your car? Or if someone kidnapped your wife or kid, or maybe a gang of scrotes were outside your house chucking stones at your windows? Who would you call?
Or who would a frail old woman call if some bastard was in her house, emptying her purse?

I have been burgled three times in the last four years.
In each instance,the police did not even bother to show up,and just gave me an incident number for insurance purposes over the phone.
As far as I am aware,nobody was ever apprehended for these crimes.
The police seem far more preoccupied in driving round in high-powered sports cars than actually patrolling the streets on foot,so forgive me if my lack of confidence in our boys in blue is obvious here.

That contradicts your comment about our streets being safer if the Police stayed off them, as you're implying they SHOULD spend MORE TIME on the streets??

Obviously you have a right to be pissed off at the way your cases have been dealt with. Could it be that the Police are under funded and under staffed, as opposed to an apathy towards real police work? We were burgled a few years ago, and the police turned up within 20 minutes, they'd located both my cars (no tracker) within 2 hours. CSI Manchester turned up and did their thing and within two weeks I got a call from a Sergeant to tell me they'd caught the shitheads that robbed me.

There are times when I've hated the police and the way they act, particularly at football matches (Villa Park anyone?), the way they're steaming into the students etc BUT, they do have a very difficult job to do, and a world with the Police is preferable to a world without them in my opinion.

Thats all you will get out of him, I personally think he is flat footed or failed the interview/physical and now has a hatred of police, as every post he ever makes, seems to reference "piggies" he also has an unhealthy obsession with the end of the world. A visit to CAMHS is required I think.

Whether you agree with his views or not,TMQ is a respected poster who has been on here six years,whereas you have been here six months.
You are entitled to your opinion,as is any poster,but to suggest that anyone who dislikes the police simply failed the medical is an infantile cheap jibe.
Many on this forum,myself included, have serious misgivings about the police - in fact you may well be in the minority if you support them on here.
I suggest you try and show a bit more respect to a poster who has contributed considerably more to this forum than you have.

@bluewes suggesting the numbers aren't taped, you can clearly tell they are. A number of coppers had them taped in Manchester. Also why is it police can push us with "body weight force" yet we can't push them back? Fuck the pigs.
