Who knows mate? What happened in 1965 to make people start referring to it as duct tape? Did they run out of ducks or was there no longer a need to stick ducks together?So there was a tape for sticking ducks to things or a tape made out of ducks in the 1890s..

You can get both duck and duct tape but if you want to tape seams in duct, you want metal tape.
