it is a difficult situation. see he hasnt shown anything that warrants £60k a week yet, so obviously doesnt deserve it because what would happen if he broke into the first team and lived up to expectations, how would he be rewarded if he was already earning £60k a week. Also if we gave in to his demands, then other younger players might feel the same and start demanding stupid wages. Basically he thinks he's hit the jackpot with these owners and he's the big "I AM" but it clearly isn't working for him
However, if he leaves and becomes as great as everybody expects him to be, we will have lost out on his talent. One our rivals will sign him and give him what he wants whilst gaining his talent for their squad. But i feel we have done the right thing in offering him £30k take it or leave it.it will be disappointing to see him go like this but no player is bigger than the club and there isnt a player that cannot be replaced, no matter how much talent they have, so we have stood up and done the right thing imo
