Sturridge

I would love to have him back and hes the type of player we need he can play as a striker or on the wing so he will give us more options.

Thats why he is pissed off......he doesnt want to play on wing !

His reported unhappiness is because he's been forced to play wide. Do you really think he's good enough to dislodge either Balotelli or Aguero? Because I don't. If you bought him back to do what he's been doing at Chelsea you'd have the same problem (or he wouldn't go back in the first place).

Didn't Mancini seek him out at the last game of last season (Bolton away) and ask him why did he leave City? I seem to remember reading that Mancini thought we had been neglectful (Hughes!) and that Sturridge indicated to Mancini things could have been different. Or am I imagining all this?

I think Mancini rates Sturridge and I think Sturridge will be open to a return.

This is interesting because he left, leaving a few people grumbling about his attitude ect, but signs are saying that a door might be opening to a return to us, could be tricky where would we play him???, he doesn't want to play out wide, also we have Guidetti in the wing [ maybe or may be not breaking into the first team next season ] so it remains to be seen what will happen over the next few months, as to what directions these players are goin to go in...................

If he's grown up since he left, then I wouldn't say no.
Definitely a talented player. Nobody rates him higher than himself though.

Maybe he doesn't want to play out wide in a team that isn't doing very well and appears to be going nowhere; playing out wide for a team with more realistic ambitions of winning something might not be out of the question.

Anyway, City often play with two strikers, who from central positions have more freedom to roam. I don't see why he couldn't be a sucess at City.

If he is angling for another pay day ....sorry ... Move, where would he go in this country ?
The rags possibly but he will want big wages. He'd want mega money to come back ( cue Harry saying he things dean is a great player )

This. And the obvious fact that he left us after not getting his own way, got what he wanted at Chelsea (more money) and has now found something else to complain about to engineer a move away. Would you honestly not put money on him complaining in a couple of seasons about always playing second fiddle to Aguero/Balotelli and wanting to move elsewhere?

He's a billy big bollocks, frankly nowhere near as good as he thinks he is, and unless he grows up general trouble. The only bonus he would have is being an academy graduate.
