I think thats why the fans got on his back so quickly, there's a reason Sturridge's contract in all over the papers and, other players contrcts never are.

He also can be judged on today's performance... so he didnt do everything 100% right, neither did Elano when Hughes was asking him to come on with 5 minutes to go.

Just got back from the game and while Sturridge was poor today some of our fans should be ashamed of themselves. Constantly giving him stick and singing silly songs towards him is not what we should be doing, he's still a young kid who deserves our backing not getting stick because things aren't going right for him

Totally agree with this; we've certainly got quite a high proportion of tossers as fans with ludicrous expectations of what young players should do; and giving your own YOUNG players stick in the game proves what idiots they are.
