Easiest hassle free route is Easyjet to Munich Friday-Sunday and catch a train to Stuttgart (1 every hour)
The stadium is about 15 minutes on the underground, and slightly out of town, but unlike Munich, there's a decent drinking area next to the ground.
There's a huge Sports Bar called Palm Beach, which is as good as any pub near the Etihad.
It has its own Facebook page, if anyone's interested.

Cheers, have booked that with lastminute.com £208....out Manc to Munch Sat am(Singapore) and back Munich to Manc(Easyjet) late Sunday...work out cheaper as only one night for hotels and beer even with train fare.

Is there a good site to pre book train tickets that can be posted to me anyone know?

DB Bahn, Germany's national rail network. You can book on line

Will you have enough time? Looks like you're cutting it a bit fine! I thought that Singapore get into Munich at 12.15 ish. You then have to get to Stuttgart which is about 2 hours 15mins. Game kicks off at 5pm!

Yes,wont have much time for pre match drink but it was cheaper and less time out of work, got Sat night on the piss and then Sunday to have a look around.

An alternative is to fly into Strasbourg, only 100 miles away, train or car from there.

There is also flights available from Birmingham to Stuttgart at a reasonable price.
