In my mind , which admittedly isn't the sharpest/brightest getting caught up in the moment and doing something dumb is less of a "disgrace" than the way some players mope around and look like they could care less. Every dumb thing Suarez has done has had a goal of his team winning, which can't be criticised too much can it?obviously should miss 3 or 5 games but I wouldn't get rid of him over it

Standard three game ban for violent conduct and one more thrown-in for good measure.

But I think Luis Suarez has played his last game for Liverpool - there's no way back for him from this.

Lot to be said for that. I admire his hunger and desire to win, but he's a footballing liability to his team at times. For example he's going to get a very lengthy ban now.

When your body is pumped full of adrenaline your rational mind is not in control. But why does this apply to Suarez and not other players. Don't know. But I do know that when you are pumped with adrenaline for a few moments you do things that you normally wouldn't.

Generating and controlling intensity in sport is a really interesting subject. You can have great genetics for a certain sport but you need great mental strength to maximise it. Suarez has too much. Can he change? Doubt it. Not without reducing the intensity of his game

My dad despises him. I can guarantee he'll have talked of little else this evening to my poor, completely disinterested mother.

I can picture her wishing the evening away as I type this.

Surely the ref should only have needed to ask Suarez whether he bit Ivanovic or not? If he'd said yes, then appropriate punishment. If he'd said no, then teeth extraction after the review.
