I don't think rage has anything to do with it. I think all of his cheating is a calculated decision. You can see him thinking about it. Imagine if the referee did see the incident. What do you think he would've been most likely to see? The bite or the subsequent elbow and flailing about on the floor? And Italy would've been down to 9. Never underestimate the potential of top sports players to do whatever it takes to win, including premeditated cheating. We've already witnessed his willingness to cheat at any opportunity to win a game, and I don't think this is any different.
