Amazing player. He would thrive in our club, him along with kun up front would be something else. I do believe though we must sell tevez before we make a move for him if we do. sergio, suarez and carlos are the same type of players but kun and suarez are just alot better than tevez right now. All of our strikers are good players i just feel none of them are world class apart from aguero (tevez was but now he is half the player) . And that's where everybody get confused and say that we don't need another striker. if we want to challenge top teams like madrid and barcelona we need another world class striker, even the rags got 2. We have an unbalanced squad right now and i blame both marwood and mancini (some awkward and mediocre buys for the money we've spent) and i'm sure txiki will sort this out in the summer. One last thing, can't Mancini see or is he too stubborn to admit that many times when teams especially in england park the bus at you you need pure wingers to break them?? I honestly don't understand his decisions at times.
Van Persie and who? Rooney? Not a chance.
he might be a b@st@rd but that's the truth. Apart from aguero who's better than rooney and when on his game better than van persie and any other striker in the prem no other striker in our team is better than him. Our difference between us and them are yaya and silva.

Agree to disagree. When at the top of their game Tevez is twice the player Rooney is, all in my opinion of course.

I do like Suarez though and all of the 'he's this, he's that' doesn't bother me in the slightest. He gets under peoples skin and is a work horse with an end product. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

To be fair Suarez isn't controversial. Everyone knows he's an utter ****. Some people are prepared to accept his total **** for his footballing talent. I'd rather the racist twat didn't come anywhere near our club.

I have to say that I think this is the view the owners and the board would take. Ferran Soriano explained that when he was elected at Barcelona he had to reconcile Barca's very Catalan identity with the need for global branding and that this could only be done by identifying core values whivh were commom - hence the support for humanitarian causes and paying UNICEF to carry their logo. In City's case we wish to project an image of smart, respectable young athletes espousing sporting values. Suarez isn't an advert for these values! (They're working on Mario!)

Well I don't agree with that....basically what you are saying then could relate to any potential signing. Lets say for instance neymar or isco got involved in an incident and it gets splashed all over the press.
Because we want to project a smart image we would not even try and sign them !!!!!

Well mario's weekly going on's basically blow that theory out the water.

Suarez is a talent regardless of his past history, I for one would welcome him if we were interested in signing him. A quality out and out goal scorer. Currently playing in a Liverpool team that is only chasing a europa spot at best, but still only 1 goal behind RVP in the prem goal scorers table for this season.

Mario, in effect, is splashing our name across the world and giving us some publicity. Maybe the things he does are not ideal but they are not serious issues that would damage a person's/club's reputation. He is not a racist, he's just a childish man. I think Suarez is in the top 3 strikers in the prem in terms of technique. (Rape van Persie - ****, Suarez - racist and Our Kun) I can see the point of the poster's comments though. Maybe our owners would prefer a clean image, there are quality players out there who are not racists or rapists.

Re: Suarez......

Suarez is for me the best player in the Premiership, and by some distance.

As for the racism, maybe but in my experience many many people are racist and they just take on the prevailing ideas in the world they live in. Only in Church do you have the stupid idea of good people and bad people. In the real, material world there is no such thing. Sport shows the capacity of the human to achieve and compete, and no one competes harder than Suarez.

Clubs sign footballers to fight for their shirt, and all else is so much rubbish and irrelevance.

I hate the diving and cheating because he plays for a rival team. If he was our "devil", I'd love him.

If you're looking for a City comparison think of Bellamy.

Re: Suarez......

I just dont like him as a person.. what you see is what you get,and for your money you get a great player but an utter cnut.

Get this fella,he's as good as it gets, proven prem quality.

I'd sooner him than Falcao.

Absolutely this which is why I started the thread. Suarez for me is the number 1 priority in the Summer.
