I cant understand why this striker is not on our radar after some impressive perfomances at the world cup. He's more of the finished article and less of a gamble than buying Ballotelli. 25-30 million would have Ajax's practically pushing Suarez out the door. But alas, this is all too obvious for City to ever recognise.

you cant just buy players off the back of world cup performances. he has scored a few in holland aswell but that doesnt mean that he will cut it in the premier league. definitely a good shout but we need to have faith in the manager. he knows what players he wants to work with and what type of players he thinks we need.

A huge gamble which we cannot afford to take considering our last 'hot shot' from the dutch league flopped and Alfonso Alves looked like he couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo after we charitably gave him a boost in the 8-1 defeat.

There's a lot of poor defenders in the Dutch league. There were a lot of poor defenders in the World Cup. Given space he's got a nice finish on him, but after watching out for him especially in Uruguays games after his goalscoring last season, I thought his general play was average to poor.

maybe because 'he ain't all that' ....he looked 'OK'ish' in the world cup, nearly half as good as Forlan !

Dont look to bad to me.

Kezman, Kuyt and Babel all pissed it in the Eredivisie.
£30million for Suarez is mad, mad, mad money and im not surprised theres not been any stone wall interest in him, especially from City.
Balotelli is much less of a gamble and more value for money but a bit more... er.... misunderstood lets say ;-)
