What's clear to me with the recent passings of Sam and Sue is that they both died as they lived. Champions.

That's just it, they saw Manchester City win the League. So, so sad that they're gone but they've gone like every Blue would've have said so in their lives, "As long as City have won the league by then..."

Personally I would rather we were back in the old second division and awful and never won anything and these two wonderful people were still with us.
The success of our club is great, but human life is much more precious.

Re: With the saddest of hearts I bring you this sad news

god this is sad news....

As with GSM and indeed everyone else in this forum, I never knowingly met Bluebird1 but she's always been a fun and frivolous poster who has made me laugh (in the short time I've been wandering the cellar posting sarcastic crap.)

Terrible, terrible days for somewhere that is always such a release from the usual nonsense of life......

My deepest sypathy to all her friends and family....

I'm shocked at this news.

I had the privilege of meeting Sue and she was a warm, caring woman.

RIP

It's a fair comment NJ and one I'm sure nobody would even consider debating, I must confess though, as it has played out I do look back at other blues close to me who like Sue and Sam followed us for decades, yet passed away before the end and didn't see the outcome and didn't get to enjoy that moment, it saddens me greatly that that happened, I'm grateful I suppose (although little consolation) that Sue and Sam got to witnessed it.

Re: With the saddest of hearts I bring you this sad news

I haven't had chance to read all of the comments yet but the fact that there are 51 pages of posts tells me that my auntie sue was well loved by everyone. It's nice to know that she touched so many lives and it seems from the Facebook comments that she treated her friends with the same love and commitment as she treated her family. I am honoured to have been able to spend so much time with her and i will make sure to post our wedding photographs from last weekend. Miss you so much my lovely auntie sue x
