I haven't had chance to read all of the comments yet but the fact that there are 51 pages of posts tells me that my auntie sue was well loved by everyone. It's nice to know that she touched so many lives and it seems from the Facebook comments that she treated her friends with the same love and commitment as she treated her family. I am honoured to have been able to spend so much time with her and i will make sure to post our wedding photographs from last weekend. Miss you so much my lovely auntie sue x

Re: With the saddest of hearts I bring you this sad news

Got this news yesterday from Fanzone Danny on facebook and it's totally shocked me. I moved onto the same street as Sue in 2006 but did not have a clue she was Bluebird1 on here until about 2009, despite talking on here regularly and being friends on facebook. I used to see this car on my road with all the city badges on it and think 'ah there's another blue living here- thats nice to know!'

Since we met each other in 'the real world' I'm really going to miss our chats on the road about her away trips/european adventures, whats been going on here on bluemoon etc.

The way I'd like to remember Sue was when I saw her the evening of the QPR game, she had nipped home briefly before heading back into Manchester to continue the party, she was just so happy and you could tell how much being at that game meant to her. And although she won't be with us next season I'm just really glad she got to be at that game.

Anyway, she was a lovely women and a blue through and through and I'm going to miss here.

RIP bluebird1

As sad as it is about Sue, it really is a pleasure to see your name back on here!
This place is just not the same without you!!!
Another one who Sue often mentioned with affection, got the feeling she quite liked you ; )

Welcome back brooky lad and great post.

Sue is a loss to us all.

Re: With the saddest of hearts I bring you this sad news

Sadly, I won't be able to make it over the funeral, but I promise that I'll be there in spirit.

I have so many happy memories of travelling with Sue (and other bluemooners) over the last few years. My missus, who's Spanish and speaks little or no English, got on so well with Sue, whose Spanish was absolutely non-existent! We're both devastated.

For the first European trip this year, I'm thinking about organising some sort of 'send-off' for Sue. I'll work on it once the draw is made, as I'll definitely be there for all the away games in Europe this year.

For those of you who were lucky enough to have been there, my best memory is the side-street bar in Villarreal, where we had round after round of 1 euro beers until we had 35 empty bottles on the table. All of us then broke into the now famous chorus of:

"Thirty-five beers, and we're still here!".

Magic moments. We will miss so much, you gorgeous, lovely, adorable woman.

Sorry if it has been mentioned on this thread but I am at work so do not have time to read all the pages them but are there any dates for the funeral yet?
