Suella Braverman - sacked as Home Secretary (p394)

I read the gaurdian at times, and vote labour, but never eat tofu and not joined the wokeratti

So am I allowed membership of the AGC ???

Braverman clearly has a screw loose. She’s wasted as Home Secretary. She could be the star headline writer at the Daily Express or have a show on GBeebies with Dan Wootton or the crafty wanker.

Those channels don’t seem to have worked like their backers thought they would, which is a small crum of comfort in a barren pantry.

I suppose they aren't meant to succeed as channels, just replicate the work of tabloids and think tanks in getting their crank viewpoints out to the public, even if they have dwindling audiences. They still get shared on social media.

The fact their rival Talk TV is backed by Murdoch and doing the same thing suggests they aren't just pissing money up the wall with no ulterior motive. Apart from buying into Theranos, Murdoch hasn't backed many failures.

Maybe he’s losing his touch in his winter years. Hopefully he spaffs all his money up the wall in these projects.

Even the social media barbs aren’t hitting the mark.

What's the public order bill they are trying to pass?
The Policing Act, and now the Public Order Bill strike at the heart of protest. Already rejected by the people and Parliament, the Public Order Bill is re-proposing:
  • A new offence of ‘locking on’ – attaching yourself, another person or an object to anything else – a tactic synonymous with the Suffragettes. ‘Attach’ isn’t defined, so could potentially mean anything from using superglue to weighing down balloons to linking arms.
  • New offences of ‘interfering with key national infrastructure’ – essentially meaning an offence of protesting at sites of power – and doing anything at all that might ‘obstruct’ transport works.
  • Expanding stop and search – which is disproportionately used against Black people – to allow police to stop and search people and vehicles for, and then confiscate, any items that could be used to commit the new offences. So really any protest-related item.
  • Protest banning orders that can be issued even if you haven’t committed an offence. They can include electronic tagging and prohibit you going to certain places, meeting certain people, and even using the internet. This aims to devastate movements and political communities.

The police have powers to pre determine if you are breaking the law and what you are.thinking and have powers to arrest you.
