Culture is not static. It evolves. Nor is it uniform, it varies from region to region and country to country. Surrey is not Armagh.
There can be, and is, an overarching sense of ‘Britishness’ which can bind the whole, but still retain different cultures and beliefs underneath it. Say what you like about Britain, but it is remarkably flexible in absorbing different cultures and in return imparting a sense of ‘Britishness’ on them.
Braverman is of Indian descent, married to a Jew and is currently doing an Enoch Powell tribute act. It is simultaneously tragic and funny and what could be more ‘British’ than that?
Multiculturalism:
the presence of, or support for the presence of, several distinct cultural or ethnic groups within a society
Which is in stark contrast to what you actually posted...

Because you use words like "overarching" and this corker....
‘Britishness’ which can bind the whole, but still retain different cultures and beliefs underneath it.
Overarching what? Underneath! Underneath? Underneath! You're having a laugh you closet supremacist, underneath what?
But this is the killer....
but it is remarkably flexible in absorbing different cultures and in return imparting a sense of ‘Britishness’ on them.
In multiculturalism there is no "overarching" no "it", no "binding" And you really flip your lid when you talk about "absorbing"
Fuck me! "absorbing"! There in lies the rub, the advocates for multiculturalism end up talking melting pot, without mentioning the phrase because that's heresy and white supremacy and fascism and all the other bullshit.
In multiculturalism there is no "overarching", it is the very opposite of "flexible", there is no "absorbing". I'm tired of fuckwits justifying a position by praising the virtues of its exact opposite.
Societies change over time, British culture is different today to thirty years ago, let alone a hundred years ago, but multiculturalism actually puts the process into reverse, ossifying distinct groups with distinct views which are often in conflict with other distinct groups, with nothing "overarching", nothing "flexible", no "absorbing" and no "binding" going on, and there's no binding because multiculturalism doesn't bind, it divides.
This made me laugh and I mean really laugh,....

Braverman is more "British" than that, precisely because she doesn't believe in multiculturalism
The reason I'm tired of all the bullshit you peddle, is it leaves the stage to right wing shitheads like Braverman to define the terms of the debate, while the left stares up its own arse.
