I think we have quite an interesting and if not unique then certainly unusual culture. I don't so much mean in terms of dancing round maypoles or whatever but more related to norms and societal model and mentalities.

Most societies clearly lean either to the individualistic or the collective, some more obviously so than others and that in turn informs aspects of culture and life. It's easy to think that most liberal western democracies are basically the same but I'm not sure they are. Specifically Britain is a particularly odd mix of the individualistic and collective that makes us self-conflicted and hard to understand and I also suspect that when harnessed it's our greatest strength.

You must be on the wind up. Last post on this. Yes we are a ‘world culture’. Not a single country is not a mishmash of different peoples. Not USA not France not Spain etc. All have had significant immigration since ancient times all bringing in their different ideas and being assimilated.
