Summer clear out

Sell:

Maicon
Most of our keepers (excluding Hart)

Why does everyone want to get rid of Maicon. The poor guy has had some bad luck with injuries since joining but he was class last night when called on.

Last night was the first time that he looked fit since we signed him and now we want to get rid. #sigh#

Sell the lot and buy Wigan. They beat us on Saturday so must be better than us.

Kolarov- Just not good enough, we need a carbon copy of Clichy I think as a backup left back. I am worried every time we play and his set pieces and skill going forward just aren't that good to warrant a place in the team.

Pantilimon- Want's out so will be sold.

Lescott- A fine defender and he seems a top guy but age, wages and no potential will count against him. Perhaps Pellegrini may insist on him staying and use him more often but I can't see it. Could see Rekik stepping up hopefully.

Barry- I rate him and would keep him but I think Txiki will see his place in the team as one that could be filled by someone such as Kondogbia

Tevez- Still a very good player but he is on huge wages, hasn't made any comments about wanting to stay so we either sell now or have another year out of him and he leaves on a free.

I was sure Dzeko would be sold but with Pellegrini coming in and the stories of a move to 4-3-3 he could yet become the focal point of our team.

Possible players on their way;
Maicon- Has been unlucky with injuries and his age may count against him but would certainly keep him if it was up to me.

Sinclair- We don't know the reasons why he wasn't played but maybe it was just Mancini rather than the lad himself. Could find a new lease of life under a new coach. Looks likely he will be sold though.

We don't need a summer clear out, that's far too drastic, but we do need to add a few players and strengthen in certain areas. We also need to be getting rid of some players who don't seem up to the task.

Bridge, Santa Cruz and Kolo Toure are all out of contract and won't be renewed. Doesn't really affect the first team squad as only Kolo has been involved, and then only as a backup, but it will free up something in the region of £250k a week in the wage bill.

Pantillimon has suggested he's like to play more regularly, he won't be doing that at City so he may well be leaving. Lescott too has suggested he needs first team football to push his World Cup 2014 claims, with the way Nastasic has performed Lescott is our number 2 left sided centre half, so will spend more time on the bench than playing, so he too may be looking to move on. Sinclair hasn't had a look in, Mancini was more than happy to let him leave, who knows with the new manager, but I can't see him having a major impact on the squad, so maybe he goes.

Kolarov, for me, isn't good enough. Clichy is the clear number one left back, the though of Kolarov playing normally fills me with trepidation. For me I'd sell him, but it wouldn't surprise me if we thought our money was best spent elsewhere.

Dzeko is a frustration and, unless we change our tactics dramatically under our new manager, he will still not suit our style of play, or the players we currently have. Again, for me, I'd sell him, although the new manager may see a place for him in the squad.

Barry. Only a year left on his contract I believe, and not getting any younger. I'd probably keep him, but I wouldn't be looking to extend the deal at this stage.

As for additions, it's been plain to see for most of us that our squad lacks real width, and real pace. We don't put nearly enough crosses into the box, and we counter attack at such a slow, methodical, pace that the opposition can get back and regroup with relative ease. We need midfielders who can run with the ball, who can play naturally in wider positions, and who can get the ball across the face of goal. We also, clearly, need a new striker. Balotelli left in January, and we didn't replace him. With Aguero, Tevez and Dzeko (if he stays) as our only options upfront (Guidetti is still with us, but hasn't had a look in) and with Dzeko's future in doubt we need to strengthen up front. We also need replacements for Pantillimon (if he goes) and Kolo Toure (and Lescott if he goes), we can't go into next season with anything less than 4 centre halves of good quality on the books.

Will be easier just to list those that should stay:

Hart
Kompany
Zabaleta
Richards
Nastatic
Yaya
Silva
Aguero

Out:

Nasri .... just hasnt done it and ruins Silva's game when they play together.
Kolo .... too old and not that good as Kompany.
Lescott ... too many mistakes, not as good as Nastatic
Kolarov ... struggled to adapt to the english game.
Dzeko ... only good as a sub.
Tevez ... wants to go home, or Spain .... whichever pays more.
Aguero scores! Reading 0 - City 1
Glichy ... Crap against Wigan, doesnt deserve to wear the shirt.
Pantilamon ... wont get a chance, rather have a academy graduate as Hart's understudy.
Barry ..... crap.
Garcia .... crap.
Sinclair .... crap.
Rodwell .... might keep him if he can stay fit.

That's a lot to go out and more to replace in 1 summer so expect about 5 to go.

Why blame Clichy and say he doesn’t deserve to wear the shirt? The hole team was shite against Wigan. Best LB I have seen play for city bit of a shitty comment that

Pantilimon will go.
Kolorov should go, no where near good enough for City's standards, the odd occasion he will score a free kick; I don't think we should buy a back up left back for Clichy, use Karim Rekik.
Kolo will go for me, I think Lescott is a big possibility for leaving as well- Lescott said he has to weigh up his future for his England career.
I'm not a fan of Javi Garcia, no where near as good as De Jong.
Sinclair, oh my days, that poor lad, what was the point of buying him?
Barry is a possibility though i'd like him to stay.
Tevez I think will go, as so will Dzeko.
If there was a clear out, I believe these players are the ones most likely to go.
