Summer Transfers

I can see Arsenal making Stones the foundation (boom, boom Mr. Derek) of their defence, but Arteta has already made clear that there is little money available. That could be interpreted as a warning to selling clubs, but it might also be a warning to their fans that popular players could be moved on as part of the rebuild. If Stones did go to Arsenal, and they cannot make the full asking price in cash, is there anyone that could come as a makeweight in any deal?

Saka? Left wing, homegrown. Surely no chance though.

Nelson? RW, HG too. Cool lad. Good enough?

Auba, but I really think he loves London too much. Would be off since years otherwise.

Why not? You don't ask, you don't get. There is going to be a shortage of cash for some teams, Arsenal included, and they know they have to rebuild an entire defence. We need a left-winger and they need a central defender, and we could have issues with having enough homegrown players. Not saying it'll happen, but just cannot see Arsenal having the money to pay for Stones outright.

Saka and Martinelli are probably the only Arsenal players I'd put on a wishlist. Both are probably worth more than Stones at the moment.

Martinelli is currently injured, no? Saka looks promising. If Arsenal don't beat us this evening, then they have to reach seventh in the league to make any kind of European football; long gone are the days of Champions League football. As I say, certain clubs are going to be in no position to drive a hard bargain. Stones has two years on his contract, and Arteta will likely want him, so they may have to make painful sacrifices to get him.

Guillem Balague posted on youtube over a week ago that we were signing a young Spanish winger, plus 2 center backs, i do not know how accurate he is on general transfers , but on Pep and Spain he is very accurate, it could be Oyarzabal but it is most likely Torres, good player but not an ideal replacement for Sane?, on the center back it looks like Diego Carlos who wants to move to improve his international chances.
I forgot to say he also said he expects Garcia to move to Barca if they firm up their offer

Please try and get an impact sub type of striker who is good aerially and can get on the end of one of the balls when we start spamming crosses left and right.

We have issues.

Left Back
Centre Back
Right Back
Midfielder
Winger
Striker

All positions of need in my opinion.

We may need a lot of players but won't happen.

Maybe a CB and winger and if we land up some cheap LB somewhere. Don't think we will go big in summer given Covid circumstances.

Reactionary transfer thoughts

Sell: Stones, Otamendi, Gundogan, Zinchenko, Mendy
Buy: Koulibaly, Ake, Alaba, Torres, Havertz

Plus a load more in both

A 3-5-2 / 3-4-3 formation can be both an offensive & defensive formation.

It's almost time... one week left.

Sub? We need an impact starter. Get Haaland. Let the chips fall where they may.

That is some £250m+ minimum outlay which is not happening this summer

Depends.

Left back and Centre back should happen regardless.
A striker/winger should be a priority too.

After that I can think or 3 or 4 we can try to shift to make room for the other 3 signings.

As much as I want it to happen, annoyingly won't be this summer. Should've got him signed in Jan and loaned him/kept him at Salzburg until the summer.

We haven't heard much about a new midfielder. But i really think we need another 6 that can compete/play alongside Rodri.
