Sunday Dinner

The pork joints in Asda today were ridiculously expensive, like as if someone just thought 'fuck it', and went bonkers with the pricing. Went for chicken instead. That's now roasting away, the veg is prepared and all it needs now is the gravy making from the juices. Goose fat roasted spuds too and chicken fat coated Yorkshires. Time for a few ales with the Newcastle match whilst the chicken cooks. Love Sundays.

roast pork, with a nice bit of crackling
stuffing
roast potatoes,broccoli, sprouts and carrots
lovely pork gravy

followed by apricot and white chocolate cake (home made)

bottle of burgandy and then some remy martin vsop with some chocolate mints

just got another 45 minutes to wait

Brined a chicken in half a bucket of wine for 3 days, added salt, sugar pepper and a little crushed garlic. Poured some olive oil over and slammed it on the smoker for 3 hrs. Niiiice.

Having Pizza tomorrow, but it won't be Hamann Pineapple

Just finished braised Beef cheeks with onion, celery, carrot, half a bulb of Garlic, veg sweated down in a bottle of Australian Shiraz until it was reduced to a sticky sauce lob the whole lot in a Casseole dish with a litre of chicken stock and banged in the oven for 5 hours at 130 degrees centrigade.

Served with polenta with parmesan cheese, but good old creamy mash is as good as well.

Luverly and beef cheeks are about £2.50p a pound
