Sunday Supplement 15/16

I respectfully disagree. Any other club in England with this facility and the footballing media and world would be wanking itself into a frenzy.

Our academy has over the years produced talent that has gone on to represent the club and also have successful careers elsewhere despite the media driven narrative that it just doesn't produce players.

As for Kalechi, had the rags or anyone else for that matter signed him and introduced him, they would be praised to the high heavens and he would be classed as one of their own and i see no reason why we shouldn't do the same or be afforded the same slack.

No one in the world would call Kalechi an academy product and if you've got so much faith in how great the academy is and how it will produce so many great players for us then you shouldn't be grasping at straws to attribute players signed at 18 years old to it.

And if another club were wanking themselves into a frenzy about their academy or success at youth level - like Chelsea - I'd also brig up the fact that no one has come through into the team since Terry in 1998.

The proof is in the eating of the pudding and ours is still in the oven. There's no reason for anyone to be getting so ridiculously carried away.

No worries mate.

Im happy to think its very much a glass half full right now, you obviously think differently.

best we leave it there.

Kalechi?

Several others regularly making the match day squad and bench?

I dont get the scepticism from some on here and the downer on what is an incredible facility i really dont.

We will have more idea when Pellegrini goes,he's absolutely no interest in bringing them through as highlighted yesterday by bringing on Navas rather than Humphreys when 4-0 with 10 mins to play

Who has Pep brought through in nearly 3 years at Bayern ? As I've said in another thread he went and brought Costa and Comar in obviously because there weren't talented enough young players available at Bayern If they aren't at our level he won't use them any more than Pellegrini has. If moree than one or two from each age group get into the first team squad over the coming years we are doing well. From the current batch I can only see Iheanacho, Denayer and Maffeo having a chance, and only Iheanacho not needing a loan. Gunn may be a good prospect but I think Harts replacement will only be about 15 /16 years old at the moment, maybe younger.

I think we would like just to see a bit of intent rather than using kids as seat warmers, they don't even get a sniff in COC games.

Apart from the registration rules, which absolutely do call Kelechi an Academy product.

So nobody in the world apart from the only people who matter.

Our academy is currently just as shit as the rag's - neither producing a first team player for many years

Apparently we have more potential though but I'm not seeing anyone coming through

(Am not sure we can claim kelechi as one we have nurtured through the academy and brought through)

That is literally the stupidest post I've ever read on here.

Arsenal haven't won the title and neither have Burnley so their teams are just as shit as each other right?

To be fair, if we bring through the three player named above then that would be a very good start.
