Sunday Supplement

Re: Sunday Supplement

Custis appears to be a Luddite dinosaur who seems to have very little grasp of global marketing and branding and still lives somewhere in the 1970s.
At times he appears to be being deliberately obtuse and confrontational , and if he actually believes some of the things he says then I would advise his editor to remove any sharp pencils from his desk in case he does himself an injury! (heaven forbid)

Re: Sunday Supplement

Mr Ed (The Stables) said:
They briefly touched on players from the Academy leaving to join other teams. Look at Sturidge a player who seems to have found himself at the top level all started by our Academy. In the future there will be others that's for sure.

It's one of the main reasons to have the academy, it's just that bitter twat is too blind to see it?
It's a business at the end of the day and what better way to print money, we get the best youngsters from around the world, train and prepare them, we then sell them for large profits to clubs around Europe?
We'll get the odd one or two that comes through that we'll feel are too good to let go, but this is our big cash cow, those that think any different are very blinkered.

I noticed Chelsea's "academy" wasn't mentioned during the bitter twats dig, their magical "academy" at Cobham has produced sweet fuck all, yet we're the bad boys and ours isn't even finished yet?
In fact, the last player to make it at Chelsea through their ranks is none other than John Terry.

Custis........it's our club, our business, so keep your jealous bitter nose out

Re: Sunday Supplement

Custis should look at the arsenal starting 11, there's only 1 Englishman. I don't see him moaning about them and plus Wenger is one of the worst managers in the league for whining.

Re: Sunday Supplement

All these bitter journalists going on about there not being enough English players playing at the top level are just incredibly ignorant.

All the top footballing nations play good footballing systems from a young age whereas ours are still told to hoof it up to the strikers. It's been well documented how Spain implemented a grass roots system and are now reaping the benefits - sick of hearing all these nobs moaning about it without actually putting any thought into it.

Until our grass roots is properly addressed and a system implemented for our national team instead of trying to copy the flavour of the month we'll always be behind as a nation.

Re: Sunday Supplement

Dear oh dear. I reckon before a show they have a dart board where all of the numbers are changed to subjects to beat City with. Custis obviously hit the 'they have no young English players coming through' topic. I mean, what a seriously stupid ****. Football has changed, the top clubs very rarely bring through their own players these days and not one gives a shit on what their nationality is. It's obvious we've had a lean spell recently with bringing kids through but you are going to get no credit for beating us with that stick when you consider the plans we have for the future. He's lost the plot here. You can tell we've gone to the top of the league anyway.
