The biggest thing for me, is that we don't change the way we are currently playing, we appear to have gone back to how we started the season in terms of pressing and formation over the last 10 games or so, it worked then, and its working now, so hopefully the tinkering has finished.

There were a great many positives on Wednesday night, outside of the obvious stars from the game. Clichy for instance had one of (if not) his best games of the season. Garcia fitted in like he had been playing every week. Bravo proved that he can be an asset if he isn't having to defend one on one every 10 minutes, and before anyone jumps on that comment, Pep doesn't want us conceding those chances, and for Bravo to assist us getting forward, something he showed how good at it he was the other night. Fernandhino played further forward, and was unlucky not get on the scoresheet. Zab despite making a mistake for the goal, showed once again how he leads from the front. Otamendi even looked capable of defending on his feet, rather than his arse.

Since the turn of the year, we've played 11 games, won 8, drawn 2, lost 1 (the Everton 4-0, which now looks quite out of place), scoring 30 (10 different scorers), conceding 12 (4 in one game), whilst we've continued to rotate personnel but not so much the formation.

Chelsea's next 2 games are not gimmee's, they should win them, but we might have a chance to close that gap if we continue winning, and our confidence and spirit look really high right now.

All we can do is win and keep the pressure on. They may well start to drop points and possibly lose their nerve. We're playing well and the team look really happy. To play that style without Silva and Yaya and even Kolarov in the side you have to say, is a great result and evidence the squad is getting Pep's style now.

Clichy was a lot better, still at fault for the first goal partly, because he was jogging right alongside their break away player when he should have sprinted and got a foot in.

Go for it. Same as the last few games, fuck defence, attack at pace and in numbers and we'll batter them 7-4

we should beat the mackems on sunday weve got to be looking at a three niller

It's only Sunderland but it's not long ago since we had that poor run of results there.
Tough period of fixtures this. 4 in 10 days with another bogey side next Saturday in Middlesbrough. A make or break phase in the season for sure.
