Sunderland post match thread

Missed Yaya and Silva massively. Would have expected a bit more fight from the players/fans. Not over as we know but I'd be shocked if City ended up as champions now. If Liverpool bottle it, Chelsea will capitilise.

I think James tonight possibly had his worse game in a football shirt.

Bizarre after the impact he made at Anfield. How he was not subbed I am not sure.

looked like we did tonight

Without wanting to sound contentious if they had given in we would have lost 1-2! :-)

And we could have scored through Nasri, last minute.

Everyone blaming the players lacking passion but where was the passion from the fans ? I will say the South stand tried to lift things mid way through the second and it was slightly better thatn previous games and no one was really getting on the players backs, however. the atmosphere was completely flat, like an end of season nothing game.

Why !? You can imagine the players having come back from the cauldron at Anfield at the weekend, fresh in their minds, and then run out to our fans and a flat atmosphere. It must be so deflating.

Of course they are playing for themselves but having 47,000 fans roaring you on can give you the lift when you need it. When will our fans realise that we can play our part too ?

+!

Nothing is going to change.

Apathy on the terraces is here to stay.

well bobby haters both players and fans alike, you must be delirious.

Indeed. Players got what they wanted and now will more than likely end up with their nice manager being sacked.

It's time to show some of these players where their place is.

Why what did we win last season, remind me

At this rate we could finish 4th. If we have the boys back for the next 5 games were at least 2nd. However, we have to look again at the off field leadership. They undermined Bobby and appointed a yes man, a perfect buffer between their actions and culpability. Before anyone goes on about the League Cup, look at what they lavished on the squad compared to how they Samsung Bobby last year. Pelle is the real problem, he didn't sack one of our most successful managers, appoint himself, or manage to spend £120million over to years and to actually have us looking worse than when we won the title. They aren't the men for the job and surely the hollistic approach applies to them as well.

I left at 1-0 to city as I was bored. The atmosphere was shite and I thought there is no way I am watching the champions here.

Hart - not good enough, Milner, garcia, negredo and poor zabba is beyond shattered.

I really hope the new stadium expansion gives the places a bit more spark back.
