Sunderland Post Match

We won 1-0. Away at Sunderland. Top result. Performance is irrelevant.
Did we ever win there under Lord Mancini?
Enjoy it everyone. Saturday should be a corker. :-)

Awful. Decision to take off Nacho basically meant that we were likely to spend the next 45 minutes defending. Totally handed them the initiative with that substitution. Back four were good and Hart made two great stops. Nacho was bright and was easily one of the better attacking performers. Entire midfield was shocking. Unfair to single out Yaya, but also very easy to do so because he is the one who does the very visual things, such as try a forward/incisive pass or a forward run with the ball. He's quite clearly judged differently to everyone else on here and i'm unsure why because he was no more expensive than anyone else. Fernandinho was again anonymous when we had the ball. Fernando didn't help us solve any of the problems Sunderland caused us. Silva had some good touches but constantly ran out of steam with the ball. He was also wasteful and awful out of possession. Navas did nothing other than track back and pull his hamstring.

Overall, very poor but a good 3 points considering Arsenal dropped two.

Looked like Navas has a hamstring injury. Hope he's not out for too long.

Looks like Raheem will play on the wing on Saturday.

As long as players knows how shit pisss poor they were, i can live with this. But we will not win one more game with performances like this.

Good old City. Feel good factor sky high after Pep, all the fans up for it to wish Pellers all the best, and what do we get? Yup, an absolute c*nt of a performance (for those unable to watch online, probably the worst of the season)! Every aimless punt downfield somehow ended with Jermaine fucking Defoe - all 5ft 4' of him - muscling either Dimi or Otters off the ball, every pass out of defence went straight to a Sunderland shirt, every corner caused mayhem, every clearance was scuffed, every 50:50 challenge was lost, we had Dimichelis attempting suicidal pirouettes on the halfway line without the faintest idea where the opposition players were, and the brainless free kick count was off the scale. An utter fucking debacle from start to finish. Thank fuck for Joe Hart. The only plus is that no team will play that badly again this season and win, and the title has surely got to be ours!

Other than Defoe elbowing both of the CBs (it's worth noting that neither of them 'tackles' were some serious and deliberate acts, though judging them separately, both were yellow card offenses), I don't know why is anybody upset with the ref. We were very poor and the ref really was last of the issues tonight, even if you count on the 5 minutes addition, which was, well, surprising a bit...
