Sunderland Post Match

Headless football tonight. Ridiculously poor passing particularly out of defence that time and time again put us under pressure. Ref shit but still gave away silly free kicks all night.

Yaya had a stinker, as did Merlin yet again and Kun dissapeared after the goal and his knock. Navas picking up a hammy is bad for us as well as he offers the side much needed balance.

Main thing is we've won but i'm not having this whole "we've passed a test" mentality. They are fighting for survival it should not of been that difficult, poor lineup, poor tactics and a poor performance from the majority of the side. If that was even a mid-table side, we'd of lost tonight. We'll win nothing playing like that, and unfortunately, Pellegrini has shown no signs of it changing. Navas injury is a blow as it now means we have to change formation to either a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 with 3 central midfielders and it means even less chance of the increasingly useless Yaya being dropped.

Amazing performance from Joe.

Not the best of performances, although 3 points is 3 points.

Arse dropping 2 at home is the icing on the cake.

Huge game Saturday now, but for once in 45 years pretty confident of a win ;-)

11 v 15 dirty,cheating cunts.

A great result considering...

Very poor perforance, poor tactics, poor set-up to counter a team fighting for their lives.

Sunderland saw us as a soft touch because of how poor we are away from home and thought they could do us.

Joe Hart was our only player really.

Yet we won, so, NEXT...bring on Leicester!

Twenty five minutes to go and i thought we were fucked. Nothing on the bench to change it and a man down on the pitch. The team dug deep and battled all the way. Great stuff.

Crikey. Clean sheet and 3 points. Another positive is that I thought we matched them clog for clog. Allardyce had obviously told his team that, if they kick us enough, we'll fold. But we didn't and actually put the boot in a bit ourselves. But it wasn't pretty.

Minds not quite on the job. Can understand that. Anyway, no excuses for Saturday. Obviously, an important game. However, it's not the decider so chill.
