Sunderland Post Match

Played poorly, but we showed some metal against a side who tried to kick us off the pitch. Another away win and 3pts in the bag - can't be all that bad.
 
Thought we didn't play well tonight. Personally thought it was one of those games, especially after the pep announcement.

Can't question the players mentality though. Brilliant.
 
Thought it was dogged stuff from a leggy looking team. At a ground we have struggled at for years I'll take it every fucking day of the week.

Yaya was a disappointment, but the days he isnt are few and far between.
 
hardly the most entertaining game but job done 3 points, happy with that. Atwell is still out of his depth in the prem
 
might already been asked but will they fight like that against other top teams erm I think not

Massive three points despite the bad performance. Sunderland did play well and we couldn't take control of the game but an away midweek win is what it is all about. It is certainly a tough job for Pellegrini in terms of his ability to constantly evaluate the players and pick the right line up. I think he really has to think and make decisions outside the box to get the best out of the team. The quality is there but it is about finding the right system or combination in each situation/match.
 
Utter shite. Toure stank the place out. Defoe should have been off, they are a bunch of dirty cunts, the ref was fucking useless, but at least it was a win.
Something which is really bugging me about the last few months is the amount of times we lose possession immediately after we've taken a throw in. We lose the ball almost every fucking time.
Happy with the win but happy to forget the performance.

I actually take it back as I just recalled Otamendi had an absolutely wonderful tackle and was given a yellow for that, but still.... Wow, wonderful 3 points.
 
we won ugly , games like these win titles , defence was solid , Joe dealt with a couple of chances , never seen silva, yaya and aguero mis control the ball so many times in my life , we could not hold the ball up in the 2nd half , credit to the Mackems they are fighting for their lives and a draw would have been a fair result , but who said football was fair , fu*ck em.
