Do we know if the final is going ahead yet?. All the papers saying it's very
unlikely.

I'm here and it's hardly rained today. I'm sure we'll get a shower or two in the next 4 hours but unless it's torrential we should be good to go.

Hope you are all enjoying it, Is it still the knock off capital over there?

I'm more interested in getting through this game without injuries

Why are we playing an training in Hong Kong? Bonkers.

1) As Pellegrini has already stated he is preparing the players mentally for when they return home ie to the new squad - Welcome to Manchester.

2) For the new players who haven't experienced it yet it is to get it into their head that this is what it will be like on a wet and windy evening at Stoke.

3) If they can play on this pitch they can play anywhere.

:-)

What I would like to see:

4-2-3-1

---------------Hart----------------
-Richards-Nastasic-Kompany-Clichy-
--------YaYa-----Fernandinho------
-Navas-------Silva------Jovetic----
-------------Negredo--------------

With:
- Jovetic shifting to the right side and playing mostly behind the striker.
- Silva roaming around the pitch.
- Attacks being played through right side and center, while disabling the left side

I feel that i have to mention someone that everybody seems to be forgetting. Someone that has been our leader and star performer since May, someone that not only should be one of the first names in the team tomorrow but I believe has also played his way into starting berth contention when the new season begins regardless of the other players available for selection.

That someone is James Milner

Not only is it fair and just to include him, I forecast that this guy is finally getting into his own and about to enter his peak and can be one of the players of next season- I kid you not. He may not be a flair player but he definitely has the quality with his passing, crossing as well and the intangible and invaluable versatility, work rate and professionalism.

Surely there is a way to squeeze Milner in there.

Milner is average.

Milner's far from average. Watch the 2 games at the swamp for proof.

Swap Nastasić and Kompany round and I'd agree.

-- Sat Jul 27, 2013 10:40 am --

I wouldn't play Aguero today.

Friendlies are for testing new formations and learning how to deal with strikers being injured/suspended. We need to see how we play when we have to alter our formation because it's something we've never really been able to cope with.
Neither would I. Give him a little while longer to regain full fitness.
