First of all allow me to congratulate Sunderland, they played brilliantly especially in the 1st half. We were distinctly average and it took their 1st goal to wake us out of our slumber
Wow, so "brilliantly" involves committing a red-card tackle and being lucky enough to get away with it, and committing a foul in the lead up to a goal. Not the sort of "brilliantly" I normally associate with football but each to their own I suppose.

Sunderland certainly weren't brillant in the first half , we made them appear 'capable' by our own poor play , we created next to nothing , and only Milners hopeful long shot troubled their keeper .......

after they'd scored a fortunate goal , there was only gonna be one pattern of play ....... us huffing and puffing around their goalmouth , and them desperately defending in depth !

We haven't won an away game which we went 1-0 down in over a year, Very poor stat from a team of our quality. We don't show enough fight or determination when we play away from home, I actually think we get bullied by teams and they simply want it more than us.

What the fuck does that new free-kick routine we've started to do, actually achieve? Instead of getting one player to take it and whip it into that dangerous area of the box where it either gets nodded on or it goes into the net, we've started putting two men over the ball, one knocks it to the other, he then traps it and the free kick taker than floats it into the box for it to be inevitably headed out. I don't understand some of the shit they must work on all week in training for set pieces. It seems whenever we have to defend a set piece we have to defend for our lives to clear it and if we make one mistake its punished.

Disgusting.

Fucking laughing stock.

Richards, Milner, Lescott, Garcia, Kolarov all shocking players.

Might as well leave Yaya at home when the lazy bastard mode is switched on.

Of the above I actually thought Milner played better in the second half when he was shifted infield. However his first half was shocking. I don't know what is going on with Yaya but today he set a very poor example as leader of the team. He showed no fight.

MOTD: "Gus Poyet's team have kept their first clean sheet of the season."

Why is it so often us?

sunderland were an embarrasment today , they had no ambition in front of a full house at home , we will stick at least 6 goals on this lot at the etihad , just hope its enough to send them back were they belong ,to the championship , at least teams like wigan, reading and QPR try to play football , and that tackle by larsson was an absolute disgrace , what a coward.
