Sunderland Vs City Post match Discussion Thread

bad team, selection, but what really pisses me off, is just how clueless we are against teams who park the bus, we have no idea, and what makes matters worse is not one of our fucking midfielders commit themselves and get into the box for when the ball actually does get played in, after 100 passes from one side to the other.

Wow. Not sure what else to say really. 4 in a row against you lot now, who'd have thought it? These annual visits to your forum are becoming a thing of tradition for me now... Cheers for the 3 points today, MUCH appreciated! ;) :)

Here's an idea mate....why not effin try as hard against the other top 6 teams? I really hope you lot go down.

Had a clear goal disallowed against Arsenal, would have brought it back to 2-2, might have changed that result... Should have beat your city rivals, probably would have but for Januzaj, Rooney & RVP both asleep that day... You know what they say, when it rains it pours...

Personally think Poyet will get us playing football again, has definitely started to, hope it's enough to secure our safety come May but we'll just have to see...

Just got back in and haven't read the previous comments, but I have no idea of what's going on. No chasing down at all during the first 16minutes, no pushing up, no pressing... something I expected us to do from the whistle.

Lescott... well he didn't exactly increase his chances of 1) staying at the club, and 2) making the England squad. He looks terrified on the ball.

Nasri did okay me thinks, Aguero tried... but without energy and frenzy we are an average side.

Btw.. we are now officially a mid-table team.

Always has, gives his all but clearly out of his depth.

Very true.

Its always sad to say goodbye to old friends and unless we get relegated this year then its goodbye from us, will deffo keep an eye on you in the lower leagues.!!

very sad....very sad indeed..brings a tear,it really does.... ;)
They won't go down with Poyet in charge.

3 from Palace, Fulham, Sjoke, Norwich, Cardiff or Hull.

Just to repeat to put this season in perspective:

The scum are having their worst season in a good while and everyone has been laughing at them. They are now ahead of us in the league.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Our league form isn't good this season.

Annual visits eh? So you dont participate in any form of debate on another club's forum, you simply come on to gloat post-victory?

Would it be fair to call that cuntish behaviour?

There is no one to blame today except the players.

MP picked a side more than capable of beating an absolutely shocking Sunderland team.

It wasn't about the formation, it wasn't about silva or fernandinho or Garcia or navas or whoever else. It wasn't about the subs.

They just didn't look arsed. There was no desire, no fight, no hunger and an utter lack of application.

Our youth team could've beat Sunderland. They are fucking abysmal.

But this shower think theyre above it. It's all to easy for them. They don't need to try in these small games. They only need to turn up at home and everything is great.

Look at utd today. They weren't great by any stretch but my god they put a fucking shift in. There was no way in their heads they were getting anything less than 3 points today. It wasn't going to be allowed.

I can take 'mistakes' or injuries but to play like a spoilt bunch of little girls is unacceptable in my book.

This isn't MPs fault and it wasn't RMs fault.

It's the players'.

my ratings for this match are for what is our second string defense
pants 6 did nowt right or wrong
richards 6 got forward without success
demi 5 partially at fault for the goal even tho it was a foul
lescott 6 did his job at the back but poor upfront
kolorov 6 got forward well missed everthing
milner 6 worked hard but no penetration or creation
garcia 5 this was a game suited for rodwell movement poor again
yaya 4 poor and cowardly should have been hooked for dzeko early in the second
nasri 6 worked hard but identified as most assists and closed down quickly
aguero 6 half chances but no help from midfield
negredo 6 like his strike partner but no chances
subs all 6
pellers 3 should have started with a harder working team and switched to a 4 3 3

Most of it for me stems from one thing - a lack of desire. Too many of them happy picking up their humongous pay cheques and happy sitting out games warming the bench knowing that we are in so many competitions they get plenty of game time. Take Richards for example...............here's his chance to give Pellegrini a real selection headache......Was that a performance of a player desperate to get his first team place back?

defence and midfield was superb. particularly milner, navas and kolarov. aguero tried. negredo was sleeping. sunderland scored a goal that should have been disallowed because milner was fouled. it was an unlucky day. good thing is that arsenal , tottenham and chelsea have all dropped 3 points. we are still in the race.
