Sunderland Vs City Post Match Thread

I don't think Aguero is showboating, I just think there is a weight on his mind. He looks like something - perhaps outside football - who knows - has impacted on his ability to believe in himself. Hopefully the club have a good sports psychologist, because that's what he needs. Some way to remind him just what a player he is and to enjoy himself again as he seems to have got into a position where he is over complicating whatever he does because he no longer feels it will work out for him naturally. It is such a shame for the lad because he is still getting into the right positions and the Aguero of last season would have 10 goals by now. That Aguero would have had a hat trick after 5 minutes tonight and we want him back every bit as much as he must do himself. It is more than just being out of form. It needs someone at the club to work through this situation with him and hopefully get him happy and enjoying his game again. Then the goals will come. But I agree he needs to look at those studs. In almost every game this season, like tonight, he has stumbled because of them at a crucial moment. He does not need extra pressure from something that surely can be resolved like that.

bbrilliant for george evans local cheadle lad i think ? to go from under 8s to the first team is amazing, get some more chances and show us how good you are lad !

Good 30 odd minutes when we blew them away. Sounds harsh but I'm slightly worried about the amount of great positions we create without scoring, more clinical and it could have been double figures.

Didn't matter tonight but could in tight games.

Agreed,we seem to need double the amount of chances to goals ratio but at least we are creating the chances...

Really don't understand what's weighing Sergio down at the moment. He's looked like a completely different person this season. Open net and turns back into traffic instead of tapping it in?? What the actual fuck? Can't quite believe what I'm seeing from him.

Totally agree with this. Be more worried if we weren't creating. Lots of summer action for key players but when they get properly match fit I reckon we will dish out some absolute hidings this season

Great response tonight after two defeats. The only downside is that Aguero seems to have lost confidence. All he needs is one super strike and it will all come flooding back. Now let's do the same at Spurs with Sergio back to form.

he has changed his number, you should never change your number, ask any lottery gambler who has changed their numbers, then their old numbers come in, never change your number.

Sergio, has always needed a good 6 games to get into his stride, tonight was his 6th,he will be fucking rampant v spurs .

Last international break for Argentina just over two weeks ago was
Shit hot and wearing number 11. City fans fickle as fuck.

4-0 at half time , could and should have been 6 or 7 , 2nd half just going through the motions , happy we came away with no further injuries , thought Roberts looked a decent prospect. Sergio is an enigma at the moment , well off the pace again , he is being constantly dispossessed , and not taking some very presentable chances , the problem is we have no one to replace him , Bony is totally out of form and Iheanacho hasnt got the experience , perhaps we can do a Barca and play without a striker , and give sergio a break , with Silva,KDB,Sterling,Yaya attacking from deep . Spurs and the germans will be far tougher , a couple of draws wouldnt be the end of the world.
