Good signing, but do Sunderland create enough chances for him. He'd be totally isolated they way SAFC play.

They need passing midfielders as well as Defoe.

If they start throwing a few men forward they'll get beat as this SAFC team is technically the weakest team in the League.

I don't mind Sunderland, I hope they stay up. Most of their fans I've met have been spot on, I mixed with loads in London last year before & after the LC final & they were a decent bunch. I know a few through work too & they are by & large decent fans who know their football.

Not sure if Defoe will be the answer, but they are crying out for a goalscorer. Hope he pans out OK for them.

Completely agree. Always liked Defoe as a striker just not when he was playing against us. I reckon that signing could end up keeping Sunderland up which will be worth the reported £14 mil fee and whatever his wages are. And as the above said, we've played them twice so thankfully we won't have to see him scoring against us!

Lets be honest when your strike force contains Altidore and Danny Graham then Defoe will feel like you have signed Kun!!
