It seems like they have publically rejected it within the last hour which seems a promising sign.

Hard to go ahead with no German or French clubs you would think.

For now they have, PSG have Qatar 2022 and a CL broadcasting contract to get out of the way and Bayern and Dortmund will have to pass a fan vote so they're playing the PR game and trying to wait until it looks like there's no alternative before going to that vote.

Edit: Got one.....Bayern and PSG are split from the rest of the cartel so the old boys history club is weakened. Bayern thought they were running everything but they don’t have American owners so now they know they don’t.

UEFA with FFP weren't doing the same thing? Even the premier league with FFP, the top 6 doesn't allow challengers anymore and never will do but it was always hidden behind other bodies at least now they are honest about it.

Well, FFP did not work did it. Hence this. As for the top 6, that term was only coined when United fell off really. And as for top 6 this year, its looking far from traditional.

There are always challengers, I'd say maybe top 2 or 3 is the issue. But that's the case with every single league in Europe. There are no radical changes in competitors from season to season, and it's an unrealistic expectation if anything.

The main gripe for a lot of giants here is the likes of City, Chelsea, PSG, and now the Redbull clubs have easily entered the fray with little to no issues by investing well and wisely, while FFP has been unable to protect them or hold these new parties accountable.

This is just the answer to new money, create something so big and exclusive that everybody with money eats, and no one from the so called cartel gets left out either. Exclusive membership like, it's actually worse than FFP.

Let's be honest about this: there's an enormous fucking positive: City will stay as one of the world's "elite clubs" for the foreseeable future. If this had happened ten years ago we'd have been on the outside forever.
