Anyone feel this is a power play in order to make UEFA sit up and take notice that reform is needed of their bent competitions and doing this publicly will give these clubs a chance to discuss necessary changes to the whole way it operates ?

No mate, purely because the key instigators of this ESL and the main beneficiaries are also the biggest beneficiaries and key instigators of that corruption in their bent competition. They want more corruption not less and they want to take away the voice of the other 300+ ECA members.

This is the modern day equivalent of 2006 Juventus trying to set up their own refereeing body for Serie A claiming the existing one has issues.
