super swp lets rip on city players letting down the team.

All this tells me is that the dressing room is fragmented, and if that is the case then Hughes needs to get a grip, and ALL the players need to show some backbone, and get on with the job.

I'm glad people are pleased SWP said this, but I can't say I am, the players should be concentrating on sorting it out, and getting results, not stabbing each other in the back.

Fuck me! That's close to saying it's HUGHES fault! PMSL! No, the reason why you and yours are not pleased is because you just had the fucking rug pulled out from underneath you.

sour any?

Did you talk about "stabbing in the back" when Dunney passed the buck a few weeks ago when, with delicious timing, he said that "we" had to stop making "mistakes". "We" who was he talking about?

So there you have it: Dunne said it was mistakes that were costing us, and Sweep says its blokes not working hard enough. Surprised no one on here has ever said anything about Dunnies "mistake" claim...why is that? Oh, yes, because it dents their anti-Hughes case.

Sweep says its work. Dunne said mistakes. AND YOU WERE ALL BLAMING THE REFS not too long ago weren't you?

If Hughes had come right out and said, "It's mistakes and laziness and the refs" you'd have crucified him.

What would have been the response if Hughes had said this? Something like this: "Typical excuses, he just wants a Blackburn style side, all huff and no ability, blaming it on the players when it's his tactics, substitutions, and losing the dressing room which has been proven withoutashadowofadoubtcoseveryonekeepsreapetingitsoitmustbetrue"?

I would have been quite pleased if on occasion Hughes criticised the team (as a whole) rather than make excuses, blame individuals, and talk cliches. I would have been particularly pleased if on the odd occasion he didn't exclude included himself from the list of people culpable.

SWEEP says it, well, it's gospel. Who signed Sweep? Hadn't Sweep been at Chelsea for a few weeks? Perhaps he knows what a winning side does for basics? Robinho talks about "winning mentality" and no one knows if it's okay to take him to task, and if it is, how far to go...but if Hughes had said such things, different response I think.

To be honest, I thought it was all standard fayre for a player in a team that is performing like ours. You'll see dozens of interviews from dozens of other players at other struggling clubs saying pretty much exactly the same thing. It's a rallying call, but I wouldn't read too much into it, it's the performances that count not the talk.

It's personal with Hughes isn't it?

While people continue to go on about how it is everyones fault but Hughes, people will feel obliged to point out that he is not blameless in all this.

Sven couldn't motivate these players. Trying to save Sven's job couldn't motivate them. The money doesn't motivate them. The fans don't motivate them. Hughes can't motivate them. The thought of trying to save their jobs Jan or Summer doesn't motivate them. The thought of playing out of their skins to attract interest from elsewhere even if they go doesn't seem to motivate them. Their team-mates can't seem to motivate them.

Sven motivated the players to a top 10 finish. At this stage of the season (and it is only early) he is looking pretty good compared to Hughes.

Bloody hell, and I'm actually ambivalent about Hughes! His supporters ought to pulling their hair out at some of the winking that's being going at at PLAYER failures and laying it at his desk.

I think we all should be asking questions about everyone involved at the moment, including the man in charge.

Seems Sweep and Kompany are motivated. Why is that? Character? Ireland seems motivated. What can explain this? Hughes? Character? Bit of both? Are these three "typical" Hughes cloggers we hear so much about? Is Zab motivated? Garrido is looking much better than last season. Is he motivated?

I don't think you can judge motivation from a fluff piece in the paper like this, or from carefully leaked rumours either.

I'm not sure what you're on about, but you clearly think that its ok for one player to be slagging others ? I don't.

As for it being Hughes fault, well if you can't see that some of it is, then there is no hope for you. One thing that I completely disagree with Hughes over is where he has been playing SWP himself, who may give 100% every game, but hasn't actually been playing that well himself (out of position). That one is not down to anyone other than Hughes.

Some City fans would love to be back in division 2 with 11 grafters who are crap, what I'd like to see, and I agree with SWP a little, is 11 world class footballers who also work hard, cos that alone makes you into a top side, like those, errr, well, currently up near the top in fact.

We are light years away from being anything like that, and players disagreeing in public is part of the reason why imho.

does anybody remember mick mcarthys after match interviews when he was sunderlands manager they were classic he might as well have said my team was shite im shite weve got no chance the grounds shite but at least he was honest everyone would say.if mh gave an honest opinion after every game he would get more respect .when players have to do his work it doesnt breed confidance in anybody.look at big sam today cruz your a bad influence on the team BOMBED,mh should be doing this talking not stepping back thats bullshite, you know what fu-k it when watching skysports last year and the game would be blackburn v bolton im sorry boys but id rather watch the old grey whistle test than watch these 2 pile of shite teams .we were in our ascendancy when we lost 3 0 mh is full of shite and we all know it miserable
lack luster never seen him smile, players picking players for him ,doing his talking ,we werent dynamic enough derr hamman dynamic your having a laugh im sorry boys i have to get this off my chest because its f-cking anoying we are 3rd from the bottom
what a joke

I agree, we ought to be asking questions about everyone, including ourselves.

I guess we all take what we want from these sort of articles especially when things are a bit tense at the moment.

Take anything you want from them, but it only points to disharmony in the dressing room, a common theme amongst clubs doing badly, as we are currently. How anyone thinks this helps I don't know, and Hughes should now be telling them ALL to shut the f**K up, and sort out how they are playing.

You have a point.

What question should we be asking ourselves?

if robinho or elano had said that everyone on here would be slagging them off

Yeah but they couldn't talk about working hard could they, because all they are doing at the moment is going through the motions
