super swp lets rip on city players letting down the team.

All this tells me is that the dressing room is fragmented, and if that is the case then Hughes needs to get a grip, and ALL the players need to show some backbone, and get on with the job.

I'm glad people are pleased SWP said this, but I can't say I am, the players should be concentrating on sorting it out, and getting results, not stabbing each other in the back.

hart
onuha richards dunne ball
ireland zab kompany garrido
swp jo
as anybody seen zab play centre mid for argentina excellent last time i seen him. garrido doesnt like going back but he likes getting forward and can defend better than elano.this isnt rocket science but it seems to be for mh

no robinio then for jo , have you watched jo this year i would rather play caceido ( after the effort he showed against santander ) than that soft twat always crying

What would have been the response if Hughes had said this? Something like this: "Typical excuses, he just wants a Blackburn style side, all huff and no ability, blaming it on the players when it's his tactics, substitutions, and losing the dressing room which has been proven withoutashadowofadoubtcoseveryonekeepsreapetingitsoitmustbetrue"?

No.

SWEEP says it, well, it's gospel. Who signed Sweep? Hadn't Sweep been at Chelsea for a few weeks? Perhaps he knows what a winning side does for basics? Robinho talks about "winning mentality" and no one knows if it's okay to take him to task, and if it is, how far to go...but if Hughes had said such things, different response I think.

It's personal with Hughes isn't it?

Sven couldn't motivate these players. Trying to save Sven's job couldn't motivate them. The money doesn't motivate them. The fans don't motivate them. Hughes can't motivate them. The thought of trying to save their jobs Jan or Summer doesn't motivate them. The thought of playing out of their skins to attract interest from elsewhere even if they go doesn't seem to motivate them. Their team-mates can't seem to motivate them.

Bloody hell, and I'm actually ambivalent about Hughes! His supporters ought to pulling their hair out at some of the winking that's being going at at PLAYER failures and laying it at his desk.

Seems Sweep and Kompany are motivated. Why is that? Character? Ireland seems motivated. What can explain this? Hughes? Character? Bit of both? Are these three "typical" Hughes cloggers we hear so much about? Is Zab motivated? Garrido is looking much better than last season. Is he motivated?

Hard to believe that there are fans on here havin' a go at SWP for saying these words ..... he certainly isn't wrong about what he's saying , and there have been plenty of games where he's stood head and shoulders above other players ...... and he shouldn't be doing that if everyone's genuinely pulling their weight , should he?

He mentions no names , but if any of our players get upset by his words then can they really say that they're NOT one of the players he's referring to?

There should be a number of our players with guilty consciences if they read what he's said ... but SWP shouldn't be one of em'!

Let's not forget that he's played at Chelsea , he knows what it takes to be a winner , even if he didn't get all that many games there himself ..... he knows that there's no subsitute for sheer hard work ....... he knows , but others at City clearly don't!

Funny how we all read things differently :)

SWP has put in some graft for us this season and as I said he didn't exempt himself from the points made. But I guess we all take what we want from these sort of articles especially when things are a bit tense at the moment. Maybe I am just looking for someone to take responsibility and be counted.

Take a pill and have a lie down. You'll feel much better afterwards.

Take anything you want from them, but it only points to disharmony in the dressing room, a common theme amongst clubs doing badly, as we are currently. How anyone thinks this helps I don't know, and Hughes should now be telling them ALL to shut the f**K up, and sort out how they are playing.

if robinho or elano had said that everyone on here would be slagging them off

Probably cos they haven't performed as well or tried as hard as Shaun and they don't have the right to say it. At least Robinho's got an excuse what with his fitness not being quite right an all, Elano's just spat his dummy out and continued to play poorly. He was playing in his preferred position against Santander and his peformance was still a disgrace, same old petulant tricks spending more time pushing that santander player
