Was just wondering with the Final fast approaching, has anybody got any weird or wonderful superstitious acts they're carrying out leading up to the big day?

When putting on my City short on matchday I always kiss the badge 5 times whilst it's on my arms prior to puting ove my head.

For the final I'm wearing the same clothes down as the semi as much as I can. same top/jeans etc but only same colour of undercrackers as I wouldn't know which pair I had had on!!!!

i always wear odd socks

Funny enough i put odd socks by mistake before heading to the semi but refused to change them.. we won so same odd socks are still in the drawer (unwashed) ready to be put on again for the final..

The things i do for City eh.. :)

I've just done a superstitious act now actually!

That thread with the FA Cup final tribute video on it, well at first I clicked it then turned it off as I couldn't be arsed watching it. Then i thought, 'if I don't watch that we might lose', so I watched it in full. I'm superstitious like that with my kids too, each night before I go to sleep I look at their pictures 3 times each. Infact it's more OCD than superstitious!

I'm wearing the EXACT same clothes I wore to the semi's...

This is exactly what i had in mind when starting this thread.........i was checking my sanity.

It looks like were all as mad as each other and i'm not alone.

I have promised myself that if we lose I wont say to my kids

"Dont worry, we will be back in another final soon enough."

I am full of superstitions!

I also sometimes leave the stadium with two minutes to go on the added time... stand at the stairwell listening to the sound of the crowd... and when the final whistle blows I charge down the tunnel celebrating!

Have done this against Brum and Wigan in the lower divisions... won both.

Did it for the semi against the rags... also won!

The funny thing at Wembley was, as I was standing shitting myself that the ref wasn't blowing for time... my mate walks up as well. He was doing the same thing!

So, all being well, I hope to be in the Wembley concourse on Saturday evening counting down the seconds...

PS If anyone wants to join me I'll be at the entrance to Block 537!

When I was a young lad, we had a black cat. After Germany scored that last minute equalizer in the 1966 World Cup Final, my mum insisted that the cat be placed in front of the telly. We did, the spell worked and England won. Maybe if I sit my current moggy in the same position from the time of kick-off, the same will happen. Unfortunately, it's not being shown on our TV here in Dubai, so the cat will be stuck in front of the computer screen instead, while I go to the Irish Village to watch the game.
