Support Pep

You think someone else would have won 7 or more trophies in the last two seasons?

No team in English football history has ever won 7 trophies in two seasons.
My apologies I meant this season and last. Last season we won 1 and this season none (yet). Maybe another manager could have won us the league plus a cup last season - we don't know. That's all.

Look at his words here, ‘my club’!

I have a feeling this recent contract renewal won’t be his last! Hes one of us. Not only that but he’s built this club up to what it is on the pitch, like Ferguson did to United but in half the duration. And he feels like City is his club.

The Etihad should be renamed the ‘Josep Guardiola Sala Stadium’. After a while it would just be known as the ‘Guardiola’ like the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu is just known as the ‘Bernabéu’.

He's got the whole wide world, in his hands

When I think of Pep and our current situation I keep getting an image of the great Brian Clough and his final season with Forest.
Given Pep has extended I can’t believe he’s done that without assurances we will spend big and ensure as far as we can he leaves at the very top, and not with just his dick in his hands.

Best manager ever, but i do believe in slagging him of when he fucks up, just like he deserves praise when he gets it right, CL final against Chelsea is a prime example, i did not slag him of, because quite simply he hurt more than i did, his time at City is limited, whereas i knew we would be back sooner or later.

Nobody is beyond criticism, when they are things will go wrong.

I don't want Pep to leave. This can be turned around. It will damage his reputation if he walks and Khaldoon would be a fool if he sacks him. He needs to move on some deadwood and replace with vibrant and hungry players. Not so easy to do in January, but where there is a will, there is a way. I know we were not at the same level when John Bond was manager, but when he brought in Gerry Gow, Bobby McDonald and Tommy Hutchison it galvanised the team. So, with a bit of luck, the January window could help our fortunes this season. Pep has my support, but the club need to bold right now. Take no prisoners. Change the captaincy. Move on error prone players and anyone that is still drinking their own champagne after doing 4 in a row or not up for the fight. Come on City!

I'd rather every current player leave before Pep. I have an unwavering faith in him. He certainly has enough credit accumulated for every Blue to feel the same way. He will turn it around.

I was with an Arsenal mate for a beer last night. He said Pep was losing it and Arteta was much calmer when Arsenal lost or drew games. Haha (for the record, that was my response)

Don't read the Pep performance thread.

Apparently he's finished, he's done, he's been found out, he'll walk in the next few weeks and his methods are outdated.

He's just won 4 titles in a row....

Has much more experience of failure, that’s why.
