Supporters Club tickets

18-25 and supports clubs should get more tickets.

Same people at all the away games (or getting the tickets then giving them to friends) is no good for the club or rest of the fan base.

How long before blue moon and others initiate a debate on the old thorny issue of supporters clubs getting tickets that go to people who would never qualify for them ?

its five years since I stopped chairing Canal Street blues / serving on city matters it was a racket then so I'm guessing its got worse .

If we can sort out slavery, universal suffrage, a minimum wage, free education, a health service that cures cancer and gay marriage surely it's not beyond us to come with a transparent system thats fairer and more equitable to allocate tickets.

Currently only one person knows what tickets go to supporters clubs and refuse to show his workings or discuss the issue . Even old mad bad Vlad Putin doesn't have that power and there is zero accountability or understanding on the decision making process

In the past I was assured by Danny Wilson that ManCity could predict at what points level games would sell out and that's what the sales criteria was based on. Clearly that's not been the case for a long time .Burnley sold out at 13:10 pm at 23500 points .

Looking to MCFSC to change or give up it's privilege is like knitting fog impossible,so what about the 1894/ blue moon posters making this season's mission ? after all we are all in it together some more than others

If the none hospitality fans had a fair system another 5-600 away tickets would be diverted from SClubs to general sale.

That opens up the possibility of challenging the club about the growth in hospitality allocations stick with the status quo and things will never improve .
I’m hospitality and was unsuccessful in the ballot

How long before? It comes up every time away tickets go on sale and there is high demand.

If you was chair of a supporters club and the tickets distributed were a ‘racket’ that is probably the responsibility of the supporters club. We get typically 2 and there fairly distributed.

The analogy does not really hold scrutiny. Those typically 2 tickets get distributed between 50 plus members.

No system is perfect and there will never be a system which keeps everyone happy, or be ‘fair’ to everyone.

We had this debate about giving the 18-25s tickets. Prior to tickets being ring-fenced for them, it was not really ‘fair’ they were not able to access tickets based on, in some instances they were not even born when loyalty points were being collected.

Without question loyalty should be recognised, but so should giving access to young fans, allocating tickets to grow the fanbase. There is more than one factor in play here.

Herein lies the problem,
18/25 will defend their allocation.
Loyalty point holders will defend their's.
Supporter's club's will defend their's
Corporate will defend their's.
And the club will defend their right to sell to whoever they want and don't really give a dam about any of the above groups.

I'm not sure the last statement is true mate. In fact, if there's a better system then I'm all ears, especially as I've got mates who support United, Liverpool, and Everton, and they all have similar gripes.

City's support has literally gone through the roof, but last season in particular, I spotted more familiar faces at the less fashionable games such as St Mary's (twice) Selhurst Park, Craven Cottage and the FA Cup Tie at Bristol City.

Those faces should be rewarded, but equally the previous self-perpetuating loyalty points scheme was a huge disadvantage to anyone under 25 as they weren't even born when City were being thrashed at Edgeley Park or struggling for a late victory at Macclesfield.

Also, we can't really blame the Ticket Office when well-run clubs with small stadiums replace larger, shambolic outfits. Ideally, we would have played at Burnley in late January, but just wait until we travel to Kenilworth Road.

Atmosphere improved a million % since the club changed the ticketing. Just an observation. The away crowd really lifted the team at multiple points last year. It seemed we'd score within 5 minutes of the awooooo song getting going. I see the perspective of fans who had massive loyalty point totals who feel shafted aswell. Its a tough one and I don't know the right answer.

I don't think the OSC's are a major issue, most people who are members of the local ones are season ticket holders anyway. The one I was a member of distributed the ones they got allocated pretty fairly and wasn't some sort of clique but I can't speak for the others.

One of the biggest problems is the tickets given to friends of players, seems to be loads when I go away (not as much in the last 5years). These people don’t want to join in or mainly aren’t even there to watch us. Players always come first though doubt that’ll ever change
