Supporting the Troops

Great gesture by Rangers it all helps giving our Armed Forces the recognition they deserve whatever that may be. I left Helmand province last week and I can tell you its probably the hardest, scariest experience ever bar nothing. This is on the same day Celtic have asked Falkirk that the minutes silence on the 08th Nov become a minutes applause I SHIT YOU NOT there is a time and a place for applause but Armastice day is definatly fucking not.

you racist wanker

fully support the armed forces, my father flew in the raf in the war bombing the hell out of whatever he was ordered to bomb the hell out of but your narrow minded idiocy is what needs to be erradicated as well as global terrorism from wherever it may arise....

answers on a post card please.....

MASSIVE YAAAWWWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

Did your father fly those missions so our soldiers can be racially abused by muslims (British-born or foreign I don't care) in their own hospital beds?
I am fully in support of our armed forces, be they black, white, brown, asian, caribbean, indeed the fiercest of our fighters are the proud Gurkhas of whom I have met many so you can stick your poncey Guardian reading jibe right back where it came from you total fucking idiot.
I am most certainly not racist, I am however very open to speaking my mind where and whenever my mind thinks it is worth saying.
Jesus wept, I think you need to get yourself laid or something to release all those little pent-up emotions ruining your mind.

Back on track now if you don't mind.....'whistles away while minding my own business'

apolgies, my mistake. it's a religious hatred that you bear?

I'd much rather see every fan buy a help for heroes wristband than see squaddies get a free ticket to the game.

Fans going on about how great it is yet most have not spent the two pounds to buy a wristband and do something themselves..
Or perhaps some are doing both, so what's your third option ???

Probably why I said most..........

No tickets no wristband what's the third option, what you are asking is impossible & you knew that before you posted it so what's your third option, simple question.

"Rangers Football Club has donated more than 1,200 tickets to members of the armed forces for its Champions League match against Unirea Urziceni at Ibrox.

The club made the gesture, worth about £50,000, after the Romanians decided not to take up their away allocation."

Would be great to see City make a similar gesture if Scunthorpe dont sell their allocation for the Carling Cup

Nice idea, but they'd probably rather see Basra than Scunthorpe ;)

Man does job, gets free football ticket. Don't want to sound disrespectful, but why?????

They get paid for what they do, just like everyone else. I'm sure there are lots of City fans working in factories who wouldn't mind a free ticket. Why only soldiers?

Volunteer

I work at a charity and volunteers save so much money you wouldnt believe. A quick example, its our AGM soon and we have to mail everyone who has signed up. Around 2500 evnvelopes have to be labelled, have stamps stuck on, packed with the right info for what each person has requested, sealed and then posted. To pay to have that done costs an arm and a leg, its the most boring job going and worse its not repetitive because of the change in contents so you cant just sink into it.

By the time they are done its taken 5 people 3 and a half days, thats a lot of hours that we would have to pay wages until 5pm and the rest me and 4 others would end up working until 11 and not getting paid, then we have to catch up because we werent doing what we should have been doing and things backing up because of that.

Volunteering is in my humble opinion the single best thing you can do for your favourite charity, you can donate far more in monetary value giving your time rather than your cash.

On topic, what does Ibrox hold 50,000? they are against who? I'd be more impressed if they were opening up the bar and pie stalls for them.

The club should have a regular scheme, whereby any member of the armed services can get 2 free tickets a game (maximum of 3 games a season) on production of an armed services card and with a limit of say 10 pairs of tickets per game.
