Can't see it happening though. IF Hughes is to be replaced, ADUG will already know who they want, and IMO, the only manager that would fit their criteria is Jose.

Agreed. I have no doubt, whatever happens in the spring, that ADUG and City will do everything they can to try and get Mourinho in the summer.

aside from the perhaps moral boost a change of manger may bring, im not certain sven is the man we need either.

admitedly i was living abroad so only had this forum and live streams and the occassional match on FSC to watch, but tactically we were asking teh same questions of sven. he had no second plan.

I wouldn't be against Sven coming back but not until the end of the season. Hughes needs backing until the end of the season now, the time for change would've been New Year. It would cause too much disruption at the moment and I don't think a new manager could make enough impact in the time available/away fixtures to come to get us into Europe anyway. Better to let Hughes take the fall and make the change once the season is over.

Would love to have him back, but with a coaching staff made of stronger stuff to keep the discipline in shape and to do the shouting when needed...but not all the time because we need a manager who encourages players not hurls abuse at them - which I'm sure Hughes does.

Do you reckon Hughes does hurl abuse at them? I'm not so sure. I thought when he came on board we would have no more embarrassing defeats as he would get everyone committed, we'd see 100% from every player as they'd be shit scared of him..............obviously not the case at all
