Swansea (A) FA Cup | Pre-Match Thread

Let"s not take this game lightly. As others have posted, Swansea are a good side, and have just beaten Norwich 2-0, who are top of the Championship.

February and we are in the final of the League Cup, still in the FA Cup, 5 points clear at the top of the Premier League with a game in Hand. Also in the latter stages of the Champions League.

yet there was a time early on in this season i was thinking maybe Pep was done, Maureen was having a bit of a renaissance at Spurs. And we looked like we were going to struggle for top 6.

Thank fuck those that no more about football than me make the decisions.

What ever happens from here on in i will be enjoying it.

Of course there are no guarantees in Football we could up end up winning nothing, or win the lot.

It is exciting though.

Just going to enjoy the ride.

Those people who think Pep will play four or five kids from the off need to look at previous FA Cup / League Cup teams put out by Pep. He will play a strong side and maybe have a few on the bench. Think we will see the likes of Steffen, Walker (if fit), Ferny, Laporte, Torres and Mendy all play. Doyle might get a start and Palmer and Benarbe might be on the bench.

McAtee is too inexperienced yet.Palmer not playing great and Delap not played due to ban.

Doyle is the only realistic to start,IMO.

Surprised how many of you don't seem arsed about the fa cup. I'd play a lot of the players that didn't play yesterday but would still go strong (e.g maybe have bernie and gundo share a half each and no bernabe) and at this stage I'd be tempted to rest a couple of players in a league game if anything

Yeah we equalled PNE and Arsenals record yesterday, although how seriously you can take the PNE one in the 1880s is probably up to the individual. A win on Wednesday is 15 straight in all competitions and a record for an English team.

He obviously wasn't on the bench last night, and in his commentary Alistair Mann seemed to suggest Walker had an fitness or injury problem.
