I don't think 30 minute cameos are going to convince too many clubs to take on his wage bill and pay Seluk *spits* what he'll want. If Yaya can eat a bit of humble pie – a big if, admittedly (or humble cake) – he may just surprise you all as an impact player this season. I don't think Yaya is really capable of stamping his authority on full ninety-minute games any more, but he may well have a role being brought on for the last thirty, thirty five minutes of a match. I'd sort of be surprised if Pep doesn't at least try this out from time to time, in competitions like this. If only to put Yaya in some sort of shop window, and tempt clubs to come in for him in January or next summer. Of course, none of us see what his attitude has been in training. If he's been like Achilles sulking in his tent, then he's already dead wood as far as Pep's concerned.
The youngsters. I'd be pretty disappointed if he doesn't bring in a couple for this. Personally, I'd like to see Angelino and Maffeo in the full back positions.
Not sure I would start Kev to be honest. Also I think this would be an ideal game to give Vinny a run. It would also be an ideal game (in so far as there ever is one) to slip up. I would rather lose this on and get 7 points from the next 3 games in the league. Time to give the fringe players and youngsters a chance methinks..................Willy
