Yes Pep will need time to adjust to the league and to shape the squad to his liking. Pellgrini had the best squad in the league throughout his 3 years here and and managed to take us back 7. On September 1st we can accurately judge everyone's squad and I'm sure ours will be up there with the best or hopefully continue to be the strongest. The difference is I hope we have a manager who can make more use of the tools available to him unlike Pellegrini.

I've been steadfast in my opinion that Manuel was taking us backward and have never wavered even you were part of Pellegrini's attack pack trying to tell the world otherwise. Personally, I think the 2011/12 squad was significantly better than ours this year. It had more balance and depth and in De Jong, had a very easy way to flip to a 433.

Toure, Kompany and Silva were all younger and better than they are now (not to mention the fact they played more rather than the injuries this season).

That was a great squad that year.

What game were you all watching? We put in the effort for a win. They were lucky to score from a deflection. Enjoy we got 4th at the expense of United.

I've read a few pages and I have to agree. It didn't seem all that bad apart from the appalling finishing. Aguero and Nacho were both guilty of being greedy when in sight of goal messing up some good opportunities. I was so pissed off with Kelechi that I wanted him subbed at half-time. 18 attempts to their 5 and we could only find the back of the net once - bloody hell!
