Swansea (a) pre-match thread

Part of me would have preferred Spurs tonight.

I can't shake off the feeling that typical City will return tonight making that derby win just look absolutely pointless.

I think Pep is playing a dangerous game if he thinks he can rotate big time tonight.

Think it's time to go 2 at the top again. Swansea don't offer much going forward and could be tough to break down.

Maybe Bernardo starts for Sane? I think he's slightly wasted on the wing which could hurt us, but he needs some game time and Sane is a yellow away from missing Spurs (and could use a rest anyway)...

i think we have got to start converting chances into goals more, it would take the pressure off the team and also the fans with weak hearts Both Jesus and Aguero are not clinical at present It leaves us in games, waiting to get in an unassailable position before we can bring players off to rest. as recently we are leaving it till 90 plus minutes. Heard re PEPS interview that he is in touch with Txiki re january and imho we do need, if available the input of quality where needed,

Hmmm this is one of those games that could be tough to win ....pep needs to decide if he rests some of the core players and if he does that will it upset the balance of the side ?

Hoping this is #15

How's the weather down there, still chucking it down? Normally those sort of conditions tend to mean lower scoring games, but I thing Swansea will have to score twice to get anything from the fixture, which you'd have to say is unlikely

I'll take 1-0 and no injuries,i don't think we will be back to smashing teams till march time when other teams have to gamble more as they need the points more then,so far every approach to stop us has failed but its up to us to keep going till the final whistle as it might take that long to get it done
I think you're right there Karen. Too early in the season for the lower clubs to come out fighting just yet

Same every year tbh, he has these sticky patches then wallop.... he'll still finish with 25+ for the season. He scores in bursts, wouldn't be surprised to see him put 6/7 on the board by the end of the month!!

Let's be fair though, he should be getting more than ever before when you consider the dominance of the side, the quality of the players around him and the coaching. If he's scoring the same number of goals in a side scoring 120 that he used to in a side scoring 80 a season I'm going to be pretty disappointed.

I thought he'd be making strides this season, building on the end he had to last season.

At the moment I'm putting it down to the car crash just taking his momentum as he was going very well before then, but he needs to get the ball rolling again soon.

Rain stopped - clear sky, could be a cold one. Get the job done early!
